For our Year 4 children, today marks the end of a very special chapter at The Orchards School. It has been a journey filled with learning, laughter, friendships, achievements, challenges and memories that we hope you will carry with you for years to come. You have all grown so much, not only in your learning, but also in confidence, kindness and resilience.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

To our parents and carers, thank you for trusting us with your children. It has been a privilege to watch them grow, flourish and create so many wonderful memories during their time at The Orchards School. We know today may bring a mixture of excitement and perhaps a few tears as you say goodbye to a place that has been such an important part of your family’s journey.

As you leave our school for the final time today, we hope you take a moment to reflect on how far your children have come. Celebrate the friendships they’ve made, the challenges they’ve overcome and the amazing young people they have become.

Year 4, although you are leaving The Orchards School, you will always be a part of our story. Carry with you the confidence to embrace new opportunities, the courage to face new challenges and the kindness to make a positive difference wherever you go.

As you begin your next adventure, know that we will be cheering you on every step of the way.

Good luck, Class of 2026. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all that you will achieve. Once an Orchards pupil, always part of The Orchards family. 💙

How gorgeous are these Y4 Leaver's gifts?

These bears have been lovingly made for us by Andrena Harrison.
Thank you to Mrs Evans-Cook for organising these and to the PTFA and School Community for helping to raise funds to enable us to buy every child in Y4 a personalised keep sake. 🥰

We welcome donations of any used uniform and will be fundraising again over the next year to enable us to provide a beautiful leaving gift for Y4 next summer! Watch this space.

Our Year 4 children have had a brilliant Leaver's Day celebration! They have made pizzas, had a visit from the ice cream van and are having a disco this afternoon. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible.

The Weather forecast predicts a warm week ahead with drizzle due at the end of the week. (Thankfully not as hot as previous weeks.)

Children are welcome to wear either their school uniform (without ties) or school PE kit. (No home clothes)
