Your dedication, encouragement and enthusiasm helped make every session enjoyable and rewarding.

Students recently visited the Bromsgrove Men in Sheds site to pick up a handmade planter which they have kindly donated to our College in advance of our 10 year anniversary later this year.

Students were greeted by Jo Hughes, Deputy CEO of Age UK North Worcestershire and members of the Men in Sheds team.

Whilst on site, students learnt about the fabulous work that Men in Sheds do and how they help to support the local community. It was great to see a range of wonderful items that they have carefully crafted too.

We'd like to say a BIG thank you to Men In Sheds for their wonderful generosity 🌟 We can't wait to place the planter in our garden and fill it with lots of beautiful flowers 🌷🪻🌺🌸🌼

It's always such a pleasure to welcome the lovely ladies from Voices United Worcestershire to our College. We can't wait to get working on new projects with them to help more young people from across Worcestershire have their voices heard 💫 Thanks for popping by!

Amy and Chanika visited Chadsgrove Educational Trust Specialist College Fete last Thursday, and had great fun joining in the activities the students had planned. There were so many items that were hand made and donated 🤩

The money they raise from the Fete will be collected and the college students and staff decide together how the money will be spent! ✨

We also spoke to Chadsgrove College about future projects and what they would like to be involved in. We have lots planned!

Chadsgrove School have launched a fundraising campaign to refurbish their playground. Their aim is to transform it in to a fully inclusive, accessible playground where every child can play, learn, and thrive.

If you're at the Bromsgrove Sporting FC home game tomorrow, there'll be a bucket collection taking place. Please bring any spare change you may have to kindly donate.

They are launching an ambitious campaign to raise over £200,000 to develop their outdoor learning and play area – an essential space that supports the mental, physical, and emotional well‑being of their pupils.

Our Seeker students were recently invited by our Community Champion, Jo Slade, to visit St John’s Church to hear about the amazing success of their ‘Save our Spire Appeal'

Students originally visited St John’s Church back in June 2024 where they first learnt about the project to repair the Spire. Since then, students have been closely involved with the project - even choosing to kindly donate some funds from their Enterprise projects to support the appeal. Now, after an incredible fundraising campaign, the project is complete and the new Spire stands tall over Bromsgrove.

Jo Slade, Chair of Friends of St John's, Bromsgrove and the Spire Appeal Project Manager said "It was wonderful to welcome students back to St John's to show them the rebuilt Spire apex. Our collaboration with students has been an important part of the project, and we were enormously grateful for the contribution they made following their visits to the church".

The old Spire is now a permanent fixture outside the church for all to visit. Huge congratulations to the Friends of St John’s - what an inspiring legacy for both the Church and the wider community👏🏼

Some of our students recently visited Bromsgrove District Council to take part in a ‘mock’ council meeting. Here, students had the opportunity to learn more about the roles of local councillors and experience how important matters are discussed, debated and decided upon.

The engagement and enthusiasm shown helped make the whole event feel inclusive, inspiring and very realistic. We are grateful to all who gave their time so generously to facilitate such an enriching session.

There were mic checks and mock debates at Parkside, as students from Chadsgrove Educational Trust Specialist College enjoyed an interactive visit to learn more about how the council works.

Today our Seeker students completed the last stop on their Sing and Sign tour with a special performance at the CVH - Catshill Community Christmas event.

They were joined by local singing group Vintage Class Singers and supported them with some fantastic signing to entertain the audience.

The final number performed was ‘White Christmas’. Students taught the audience the signs - everyone joined in together singing and signing throughout the song.

What a wonderful way to end our very busy Autumn Term, singing and signing with our community friends!
