REMINDER: Accessing funding from 1 September?

If you would like to access your Working Parent funding entitlement starting from 1 September, you must apply through the Government’s Childcare Service and obtain a valid eligibility code by 31 August.

We strongly recommend applying now / 4 weeks before the deadline. This allows time to complete the application and resolve any issues that may arise ✨

To apply, you will need to:

✅Create or log in to your Childcare Account
✅Complete the eligibility questions
✅Receive your eligibility decision
✅Obtain your 11-digit eligibility code
✅Give the code to your Nursery Manager, who will check its validity using the ✅Government’s eligibility checking system

Please don’t leave your application until the deadline ✨The deadlines are strict (31st August deadline for 1st September : 31st December deadline for 1st January : 31st March deadline for 1st April each year)

Another 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Really well run premises, keep up the great work!"
We’re delighted to share that Shooting Stars Bromsgrove has once again achieved a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating following a recent routine inspection! 🎉
This fantastic result reflects the hard work and dedication of our kitchen team, comprising Chef Louise and Assistant Gary, who take great care to ensure that food is prepared, stored and handled safely every day.

We were also pleased to receive positive feedback about our approach to allergen management, helping us to keep children safe while meeting their individual dietary needs.
The inspector noted: "All staff are allergen trained with procedures in place for children with allergies. Great allergen management".

A huge well done to our dedicated chefs and the whole team! 👏✨

✨Working Together – Supporting children through strong home and nursery partnerships ✨
As we come to the end of our Challenging Behaviour series, one message remains at the heart of everything we've explored: children thrive when the adults in their lives work together.
Throughout this series, we've looked at understanding behaviour, recognising common challenges, supporting children both at home and nursery, and helping them develop emotional regulation skills.
Most importantly, we want families to know that they are not alone. Challenging behaviour is a normal part of childhood development, and support is always available.
If you ever have concerns, questions or simply need someone to talk things through with, our team is here to listen, support and work alongside you.
