Meet our new Home bears who will be going for sleepovers and adventures with the children at Ready Steady Go!

The children have named them Blue and Pumpkin.

We're looking forward to finding out what they've been up to when we read their diaries together.

Getting ready for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch
We have purchased a new bird feeder and the children made birdcake on pine cones to hang on it and to take home for their own gardens.

They love feeding the birds (although the birds inevitably prefer to come and feed when the garden is not full of children !)

"Unwrapping the Nativity"
The children enjoyed a special visitor today who brought lots of Christmas boxes. As they took turns to open the boxes and explore the contents, the story of the very First Christmas unfolded.
A lovely multisensory introduction to the Nativity.

A different way to play with vehicles

Messy play ideas
The children love mixing their own dough.
Here they are using Self raising flour, water and currants to make "currant buns" .
Lots of opportunity for great vocabulary - sticky, soft, squidgy, sprinkle, snowing ....
We also sang "5 Currant buns in the baker's shop"

Jeans for Genes
We've had a brilliant week of blue themed activities for Jeans for Genes week.
