Today our children enjoyed a wonderful sensory play activity using water beads (Orbeez) πŸ’§βœ¨

They watched with excitement as the tiny beads grew bigger in water, showing great curiosity and engagement. The children used small containers to scoop, pour, and transfer the beads, helping to develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

We also heard lots of lovely language as the children named different colours and talked about what they were doing. It was fantastic to see them sharing, taking turns, and playing together so nicely 😊

A fun and engaging activity supporting learning through play! πŸ’™

Today, our children enjoyed a wonderful and meaningful activity as we prepared for Eid. They made beautiful moon and star shaped biscuits using dough, rolling pins and cutters. The children explored different shapes, used their fine motor skills, and showed great excitement throughout the activity.

We also talked about Ramadan and why it is important for Muslims. Children asked lovely questions and showed curiosity about the moon and star symbols. They were especially excited and kept asking, β€œWhen can we eat them?” 😊

In addition, the children created colourful Eid cards for their families, choosing their own colours and expressing their creativity.

At our setting, we celebrate diversity and promote the British Values of mutual respect and equality. We teach children that everyone is unique and special, and that we respect all cultures, beliefs and traditions. Every child is valued and treated equally in our inclusive environment.

🌟 It was a joyful day full of learning, creativity and celebration.
πŸŒ™ We wish all our families a very happy Eid!

Today we visited Bromley Library to celebrate World Book Week!

The children enjoyed listening to a lovely story session. After the story, they had the opportunity to explore the library and choose books they were interested in. It was wonderful to see their excitement while looking through different stories and sharing their favourites with their friends.

The library staff also kindly showed the children how to borrow books and explained how the library system works. This was a great opportunity to support their understanding of community resources and encourage a love of reading.

A big thank you to the Bromley Library team for such a warm and engaging visit! πŸ“–βœ¨
