What a lovely afternoon we had! Our little ones enjoyed a special afternoon tea stay & play with lots of fun, delicious treats and precious time spent together with friends & family !

We have some happy news to share today… it was a special results day for our Deputy Lucy… She smashed her degree and lets go on with another poem……

Congratulations, Lucy! 🎓

For three long years you’ve worked away,
Studying hard each and every day
Each Saturday and evenings too,
While working full-time, as you do!

No time off and little rest,
But Lucy Cook, you did your best.
Through blood, sweat, tears and endless strain,
All that hard work was not in vain!

At sixteen, Level 3 began,
Then Level 5 became the plan.
Now Level 6 is finally done ✔️
You’ve completed your degree with outstanding success- now comes the fun!

Your dissertation made it clear:
Early identification of SEN is something you hold dear.
Your knowledge and passion shines through,
And those degree skills are being put to good use too.

We’re lucky to have you at Happy Feet,
You’ve helped us improve and made us complete.

Now close those books, you’ve studied enough!
No more assignments or academic stuff!
You and Humphrey can relax every night,
Put your feet up and enjoy life

In December you’ll wear your gown and hat
And proudly celebrate all of that
That’s when it’s official, your moment to see
All you’ve achieved and all you can be,

But before you get too settled and cosy…
There’s one little job…..not so rosy…
Your degree is complete, so now do your best…
It’s time to concentrate on Ofsted prep! 😄

Level 3 Early Years Apprentice:
30 hours per week
Start: September 2026

Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? We’d love to welcome a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice to our friendly, supportive team at Happy Feet Childcare.

Your role will include:
Working mainly within our Toddler Room, with opportunities to gain experience in our Baby Room.
Supporting children’s learning and development through play. Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can thrive.
Becoming part of a caring, enthusiastic team who love what they do.

What we’re looking for:
Someone who is kind, reliable and eager to learn.
A genuine passion for working with young children.

We are happy to consider more mature apprentices, previous experience working with children or transferable life experience is valued.
Someone who is prepared to work hard to balance study and work

Qualifications:
If you’re waiting for your GCSE results and don’t achieve English or Maths, don’t worry! You may still be eligible, as Functional Skills qualifications can usually be completed alongside your apprenticeship.

What we offer:

⭐ Excellent mentoring and opportunities to develop your skills.⭐ Experience across different age groups.⭐ 6 hours paid learning time per week
⭐ We pay above the National Minimum Apprentice Wage (rate dependent on age and previous experience).

A huge congratulations to Jo who was awarded employee of the month this month- due to the progression of her apprenticeship and how far she has come with planning activities and learning about relating everything we do to the EYFS. Her confidence is growing in all areas but especially talking to the parents, key working, completing paperwork and she is flourishing 🙂 well done Jo - keep up the good work x

We have had a roller coaster of emotions over the last couple of weeks with our graduation ceremonies… we have 5 children starting school and each one has imprinted their little happy feet on our hearts ♥️
A huge congratulations to Max, Abigail, Kai, Poppy and Winter for graduating Happy Feet, we know they are ready for school but is school ready for them?!!
We hope you love your happy feet bears and the poems made mummy and daddy laugh x
