We are now back to teaching in a Covid-safe environment. There are some available spaces for guitar, bass or ukulele students. If you, or someone you know, may be interested in learning, please get in touch. It's never too late to start.

We hope you have all stayed safe and well. Now that we are in 2021 and currently tier 4, we are very restricted with what we can offer (and be covered for by insurance). Please don't think we have forgotten any of you; we will be in touch to confirm arrangements individually.

If Gloucester turns out to be tier 1 when England comes out of national lockdown then we will be able to resume face to face lessons at the house for those who are happy to do so. We should find out on Thursday. Looking forward to seeing some of you again. Fingers crossed.

Very disappointed to say that we are no longer able to teach 1 to 1 lessons from home until the national lockdown lifts. We have already contacted some students about this to discuss lessons via Zoom and we haven't forgotten you if we haven't done so yet. We know that Zoom is trickier and frustrating at times and is a compromise, but we will do our best to maintain some continuity. Stay safe everyone.

We are awaiting clarification from the MU as to whether 1 to 1 music lessons will be able to continue from Thursday, with the same measures in place to prevent the spread of Covid 19. Yesterday they had seen nothing in the advice to suggest that we can't, but details are still developing and the MU are pushing for urgent clarification on this. Please bear with us. Thank you all for your support in these tricky circumstances. We truly appreciate it.

It has been wonderful that we are able to teach in schools again, after such a long time. We've also had a fantastic response to our recent posts regarding new students. The piano stool has had a complete refurb. It took me a few days but really pleased with the result. Super comfy student pianists. 😁

Lovely, uplifting moment during a young violinist's lesson this evening; I explained a "glissando", (bowing a string, while sliding a pressed first finger up that string to create a satisfying slide upwards sound) and the pupil did it immediately correctly and then burst into very loud, excited giggles. This prompted my colleague/ husband to burst out laughing as well as he was just walking past outside the room where the lesson was happening. Moment of pure joy for all concerned!
