Lulworth Castle is always a treasure to visit. We were especially pleased to see the peacocks roaming freely today. So many signs of the changing season. I love teaching the children how to safely explore the world around us. Today we learnt the importance of using our eyes and not our hands as some things are not safe to touch.

Really good to see some formal recognition of what we already know. Childminders are not just ‘babysitters that take funding’ we are dedicated professionals who invest ourselves fully in securing the best possible outcomes for the children in our care.

📢 New report: quality in childminding provision for babies

We’re delighted to be supporting an important new Nuffield Foundation funded project, exploring what quality looks and feels like for under-twos in childminding provision.

The team's first report published today highlights the distinctive benefits of childminding for babies - including strong, consistent relationships, continuity of care, close partnerships with families and emotionally responsive environments.

Last week we visited the wonderful Nothe Fort. It’s a wonderful and engaging environment for children to learn about history and early methods of construction, different ways of communicating like using flags or lights in codes. This summer they have an amazing exhibition of the longest yarn and wow they are just incredible to see! Well worth a visit if you near Weymouth!

Blue pool is a lovely place to visit with children of all ages. They have recently updated their walks and we have enjoyed finding the new fairy houses and reading about them. It’s always a treat to be treated by peacocks when we stop for lunch too.

Special interest trip. When you have a car obsessed child it is an added bonus having the motor museum not far away to visit. Such a special trip for our big boys who will be heading off to start school in a few weeks. Treasuring the special memories we will make in the coming weeks.
