Last week we visited the wonderful Nothe Fort. It’s a wonderful and engaging environment for children to learn about history and early methods of construction, different ways of communicating like using flags or lights in codes. This summer they have an amazing exhibition of the longest yarn and wow they are just incredible to see! Well worth a visit if you near Weymouth!

Blue pool is a lovely place to visit with children of all ages. They have recently updated their walks and we have enjoyed finding the new fairy houses and reading about them. It’s always a treat to be treated by peacocks when we stop for lunch too.

Special interest trip. When you have a car obsessed child it is an added bonus having the motor museum not far away to visit. Such a special trip for our big boys who will be heading off to start school in a few weeks. Treasuring the special memories we will make in the coming weeks.

Dear parents
The CMA are investigating the TRUE costs of government funding.
They want to hear your thoughts as parents.
For years the funding rates have been low especially for 3&4 year olds!
The government sell it to you as FREE to get your vote - it’s not FREE it’s FUNDED and the wording needs to change - they need to be more transparent and truthful when promoting funded childcare.
Locally childminder numbers have dropped dramatically- we had 300 childminders in Poole and now only have just over 50 ! And hardly any new entering the profession.
This means less choice for families.
This is your chance to give your opinions, please support this campaign by completing this short online form - we only have until the end of this month to submit responses.

This is at the core of my practice. Every day we outside in our local community and it is at the core of every learning opportunity. Children thrive outside not in classrooms! School based nurseries are not the answer to a failing education system.
