This year marks the 10th anniversary of our Annual Charity Fireworks Night, and we're excited to make it our biggest celebration yet!

Every ticket sold helps raise vital funds for Broadstone First & Middle School, supporting projects and opportunities that directly benefit our children and school community.

As we celebrate this special milestone, we're inviting local businesses to partner with us through sponsorship. With the capacity to welcome up to 3,000 attendees, this is a fantastic opportunity to promote your business while supporting a much-loved charity event that gives back to our local schools.

❗Important changes are coming to Free School Meals from September 2026. All parents and carers who think their child may be entitled to Free School Meals for 2026/27 must apply or reapply through Dorset Council. This includes families whose children currently receive Free School Meals and those families that live in the BCP catchment area.

Dorset Council advises that applications can be made from 1 June 2026. Current entitlements will not automatically continue into September, so families must reapply and send the confirmation notification to school.

Apply here: https://www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/w/free-school-meals There are two possible outcomes: Targeted Free School Meals and Expanded Free School Meals. These affect whether additional support such as Pupil Premium may also apply.

Our Reception children had a wonderful visit to Waterman’s House! The children were so excited to share their adapted stories with the residents and confidently answered their questions. It was a lovely opportunity to build connections across generations, and the smiles in the room said it all! 😊 We are so proud of how beautifully the children represented our school — well done, Reception! 🌟

Although some of our children didn’t attend the Hooke Court Residential, that certainly didn’t stop them getting stuck in! Over the last couple of days, they’ve been busy enjoying Roman-themed activities, creating these amazing shields and practising their Roman marching. Fantastic effort and creativity all round!

📚✨ We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day in school today! It was lovely to see so many creative costumes and the children’s enthusiasm for books and reading. We were also delighted to welcome residents from our local care home, who joined us while the children shared stories and read to them. It was a very special experience for everyone involved.
