🎈☁️ Attendance Race Update – The Skies Are Busy! ☁️🎈

The finish line is in sight, and what a race it's been! 🌤️

🚀 Windsor have soared up the leader board and are now level with Deal at the top, making this year's Attendance Race closer than ever.

🏆 With just one week to go and a prize up for grabs, the competition is still wide open. A strong week from any house could see the leader board change again!

🎈 Every day in school helps your balloon climb a little higher, so let's finish the race with a final push.

👀 The skies are busy, the balloons are close, and it really could be anyone's race! Who will be crowned Attendance Race champions next week?

Young people aged 14-16 who receive HAF vouchers can apply for a FREE 4-week gym pass this October. A great opportunity to stay active, build confidence and support wellbeing over the holidays.

🎈☁️ Attendance Race Update – The Skies Are Busy! ☁️🎈

Our balloons have been on the move this week! 🌤️

🚀 Deal, Hever and Leeds have all climbed a position on the leaderboard and are soaring higher than last week.

🏆 Deal are still just managing to stay in first place, but with balloons moving all around them, they'll need to keep flying high to stay there!

Every day in school helps your balloon gain a little more lift, and the race is becoming more exciting each week.

Who's heading for the clouds next? ☁️👀

📱 Wake Up Wednesday: What Parents & Educators Need to Know About Looksmaxxing

This week's online safety guide highlights the growing online trend of "looksmaxxing" and the potential impact it can have on young people's body image, self-esteem and mental wellbeing.

The guide explains how some social media content can encourage unrealistic appearance standards and offers practical advice for parents and carers on: ✅ Spotting warning signs ✅ Understanding the language and trends children may encounter online ✅ Checking social media content and influences ✅ Having open conversations about body image and self-worth

We encourage all parents and carers to take a few minutes to read the guide and discuss any concerns with their child.

Deal Group have been investigating the suitability of different materials for specific purposes.
First, they completed a STEM challenge to design and build mini umbrellas using a range of materials.
They then tackled the challenge of setting up their own investigation, using problem-solving skills to organise the test equipment and position the test tubes correctly. To ensure the experiment was a fair test, they carefully measured equal amounts of water before pouring it into mini watering cans and testing each material.
The results showed that fewer materials were waterproof than we had expected.

🎈☁️ Attendance Race Update – Everyone's Airborne! ☁️🎈

What a difference a week can make! 👏

This week there has only been one balloon climbing higher than last week… and it's Rochester! 🎈🚀

After spending the first few weeks waiting patiently on the launch pad, Rochester have finally taken off! We knew they had it in them! 🔥👏

The best news? All of our balloons are now up in the air! ☁️🎈☁️🎈☁️🎈☁️🎈☁️

While there hasn't been much movement at the top of the leaderboard, Deal are still just holding on to first place 🏆, but with every balloon now flying, the race is far from over.

A huge well done to everyone for helping their forms stay in the skies through good attendance this week. Every day in school helps your balloon stay afloat and gives your form a chance to climb higher.

Will Deal keep hold of the lead? 👀

Will Rochester continue their rise now they've left the ground? 🚀
