Upton Junior School, Broadstairs - Official Our children have 4 years with us and we are dedicated to making every moment count. Upton Junior School is a member of the Viking Academy Trust.

Our high academic standards combined with the wealth of opportunities we offer mean that every child can explore their interests and talents to reach their full potential Upton Junior School was opened in 1971. Our pupils mainly come from the seaside town of Broadstairs, Kent. We currently have 16 classes in 4 year groups. Our extensive grounds host many and varied activities, including sports tou

rnaments, Folk Week campers and fairs. We have an environmental area, with pond and also a 25 metre swimming pool. As a community school, we hire our facilities out to local groups.

There's still time to book! 🎉 Spaces are still available for Viking Holiday Club based at Upton Junior School this summer.

🗓 Available weeks:
• Monday 20th July – Friday 24th July
• Monday 27th July – Friday 31st July
• Monday 3rd August – Friday 7th August

🍎 Breakfast and an afternoon snack are included each day.

🚌 Optional extras:
• Minibus service (additional cost)
• Lunch (additional cost)

🏆 KENT CHAMPIONS, FOR A SECOND TIME WITHIN A WEEK! 🏆

After being crowned Thanet Mixed Year 5/6 Dynamos Champions, our team travelled to the Kent Finals today ready to take on the very best from across the county.

What followed was a fantastic display of teamwork, determination and skill. The team were outstanding from start to finish, producing brilliant performances in every match and winning every single game to be crowned Kent Mixed Year 5/6 Dynamos Champions! 🏏🏆🥇

Every player should be incredibly proud of what they achieved today. Their commitment, resilience and sportsmanship were evident throughout the competition, and they represented Upton and Thanet brilliantly.

A huge congratulations to every member of the team—you've created memories that will last a lifetime. For our Year 6 pupils, what an incredible way to finish your sporting journey at Upton. You leave as Kent champions, and no one can take that away from you!

To make this achievement even more special, it comes just one week after our girls' team were also crowned Kent Dynamos Champions. This means that, for the first time in Upton's history, the school has been crowned Kent champions in both the girls' and mixed Dynamos competitions in the same year—a truly remarkable achievement and a week that will be remembered for years to come.
