Come join us for today’s Inflatable family swim at Upton Swimming Pool on this cold and wet day. We are in central Broadstairs with easy access by train and bus!

Sessions at 11.30am and 1.15pm

Children over 9 can attended without a parent. For swimmers safety all children will be swim tested. Swimmers need to swim 25m to go in inflatable (can wear swimming aids).

MOVEMBER SWIM CHALLENGE

For this month we’re diving in to support the Movember charity, raising awareness and funds for men’s health.

The Challenge:

Swim the distance of the English Channel within the month of November. That’s 21 miles (32 km) — the straight-line distance between England and France.

How It Works:

- Swimmers can take on the challenge solo or as part of a team.

- To enter, make a donation (minimum £5) to the Movember charity via our JustGiving page below. 100 percent of proceeds go to the charity.

- Once a swimmer/team is signed up, we’ll add your name (or team’s name) to our Challenge Board with the total distance beside it.

- Each time you swim we’ll update your total, gradually counting down to zero.

From February 1st to 28th, take on the challenge of swimming every day, 6 days a week. Whether you're looking to swim a little or a lot, it's up to you how far or how long you swim—just make sure you dip every day!

Hi,

We have been blown away with how many swimmers have taken part in our move for Movember charity swim and those that have already donated it really doesn't matter how big or small your donation it does mean that we have created a wonderful sense of community in our pool and we would like to thank you.
If you have been part of this challenge let's really make it worthwhile. We now need your help to raise as much money as possible for this cause. We would love to get £1 for every Kilometre we have collectively achieved but this is a dream at the moment.

If you have been one of the many swimmers who has taken part the aim is was challenge yourself to do more and swim further, now is the time to share it with your friends and family and tell they what you have been doing.

We set out to swim 500km within November to raise awareness and funds for the 'Movember' Charity. Today, just 2 weeks in, we have already reached 501km!! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️ This is all thanks to our amazing swimmers... their willingness to challenge themselves, and commitment to clocking up the mileage in our pool. Thank you!

Just a thought.... How about we raise the stakes and aim to reach 1000km by the end of November? 😏 Who's in?

We are 7 days in to our move for challenge. Our aim as a pool is to swim 500km collectively during the month.

The total so far is 192km which has already exceeding what we thought was possible. We have been amazed by the amount of swimmers who have joined the challenge which currently stands at 70.
