Jazz Hands 👐👐👐 is the correct way to end a fabulous workshop!

We welcomed Alex .bozanic and Felix to the studios last night. They are musical theatre Performers from Australia.

They worked with some of our Senior Musical Theatre Students on Group drama, ensemble singing, workshoping solos (Well done and .macvvv05 for putting yourselves forward for this and giving it your all) and then they treated to some of their own performances.

Thank you Alex and Felix for giving up some of your time on Skye to work with us and for sharing your knowledge, passion and joy for Musical theatre and the industry. It was hugely inspiring for everyone.

We wish you all the best and maybe we'll see you soon. The students have demanded that they both come back to see our musical production in March 2027.

Side note: season 2026/2027 Musical productions will ne revealed today at classes!!

We are excited to announce LMPA Academy are Finalists in the UK Dance Awards UK Dance Awards

After being Sottish Dance Award finalists this year we couldnt imagine that we would be finalists for two awards at the UK Dance Awards also.

What the students, familes, staff and our suppprters have achieved over these 12 years is unbelievable.

12 years ago me had no idea what my little dream would become. After being the Dance development officer, then manager, with SkyeDance for 8 years. I started off running musical theatre and Dance classes in Dornie, Broadford and Portree. And the momentum and evolution of LMPA Academy has never stopped for a moment. Even during Covid we moved online.

There is no way I could have done it on my own! Although I did give that a try for a while. Older me certainly couldnt teach nearly 30 classes a week as well as organising 20 annual productions and events for LMPA Academy students. I've now been living and working on Skye for 20 years this year and I still have the same passion for what we do. Probably more! At the end of the day, its all for you! The students, the familes and community weve built. Thank you!

Tuesday 11th August JAZZ AND ACRODANCE with Cleodi and Lorayne for ages 5 - 9 and ages 10 - 17
