Spark Youth Theatre & Dance Spark Youth Theatre & Dance School offers exciting classes in Brixham. Join us to be part of something special!

With 30yrs experience we’re passionate about building children’s confidence, inspiring creativity and staging outstanding, affordable shows. Project Performers � is a popular Youth Theatre group that opened in 2012 in Brixham. In 2018 we moved into our new venue the Spark studio and we added ISTD syllabus Ballet (from age 3), modern, tap and the more freestyle ‘Friday funky’ dance to our regular weekly timetable. We run youth theatre classes for ages 4-16yrs in singing, dancing and acting (all three in one session). We can build confidence or improve the skills of already seasoned young performers with positive, fun and highly experienced tuition. We put on regular shows in our well equipped performance studio (the spark studio) and give every student the chance to shine � Please get in touch to join and to find out our reasonable fees. Another fantastic day for Spark Youth Theatre!🎤🚂 Today's adventure took us to the Torbay Steam Rally! 🚂🎤
Although there wasn't enough space for our dancers to perform today, our singers absolutely sang their hearts out. ❤️🎶
The children performed a selection of songs from previous performances, and despite only having a few refresher rehearsals for those who could attend, they sounded amazing once again.
As well as performing several group numbers together, some of our talented performers also took to the stage to sing their showcase solos. Every single one of them should be incredibly proud of themselves.
Seeing everyone up on stage with huge smiles on their faces, while the audience clapped and sang along, was truly something special. Moments like these remind us what Spark is all about.
A huge well done to every performer—you represented Spark Youth Theatre brilliantly, and we couldn't be prouder! 💙💛

🎭✨ What a fantastic evening at Paignton Carnival 2026! ✨🎭

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support Spark Youth Theatre tonight. We had such a wonderful evening, and every single one of our performers looked absolutely fabulous all dressed up!

We are so incredibly proud of everyone for representing Spark with such enthusiasm, energy and teamwork.

To top it all off... we won our category too! 🏆🎉

And a special shout-out to our very own Shrek... you were definitely a huge hit with the crowds! 💚👹 We think you may have stolen the show! 😄

Well done everyone, and thank you to all our amazing families, friends and supporters who cheered us on. We couldn't do it without you! 💙💛

Hey everyone, if you want to support me/our group please share this post with your friends.

I'm trying my best as a small independent youth theatre with my poster designing now that I'm trying not to not use AI anymore. My teenager is super dooper against it and I always feel it's important to listen to the younger voices.

But! I printed 1000 of these recently, and put the wrong prices on the top 3 workshops! (This one is correct though). I'm gonna be busy with a sharpie. You may see us at the Paignton Carnival on Wednesday with our hand edited leaflets!

If you can send your child to one of our 1 day workshops this summer please do. Us smaller independent groups really need supporting as we don't have national adverts / or the budget really, and we produce really great shows too.

This Summer, we have these amazing workshops for your child to have a creative day! We welcome young people who've never done anything with us before too.

** The Lion King themed is pretty much full so didn't include this one** could squeeze an extra 2 in if desperate.

**Disney Descendents themed is filling up quickly**

Pip Bear had another wonderful weekend making special memories in the sunshine! 🌞

This time, the adventure included a camping trip, a bike ride, and lots of quality family time outdoors. ⛺🚲💛 It certainly looks like Pip Bear had a fantastic time soaking up the sunshine and enjoying every minute of the weekend.

Thank you for sharing another lovely adventure with us. We absolutely love seeing where Pip Bear travels and the memories our Spark families create together. We can't wait to see where his next adventure takes him! ❤️✨

What another amazing week at The Spark! ☀️🎭🎶
Despite the heat, everyone gave 100% and was fully engaged in getting everything ready for our end-of-term showcase. The excitement is definitely building, and it's been fantastic to see all of our students working so hard, supporting one another, and giving every rehearsal their all.
We really can't believe that next week is our final session before the summer holidays! Where has this term gone? It has flown by, and we can't wait to see all of the hard work come together at our showcase.

A huge congratulations to another four of our amazing students who achieved their Star Awards this week! ⭐🌈
This week's celebrations included:
💛 Two Yellow Stars – awarded for attending 30 sessions. 💚 One Green Star – awarded for attending 60 sessions.⭐ One Silver Star – an incredible 120 sessions of dedication and commitment! These awards represent so much more than attendance. They celebrate enthusiasm, perseverance, and being part of our Spark family week after week.
Well done to all four of you on your fantastic achievements — we are so proud of you all! ❤️👏
And of course, no week at The Spark would be complete without trying to capture that perfect photo... 📸😂 As usual, Jesse didn't disappoint! We absolutely love the enthusiasm for striking that model pose... although we're not quite sure the camera always gets the serious look it was hoping for! 😆✨
Would we have it any other way? Absolutely not! It's moments like these that make our Spark family so much fun. ❤️
