New equipment
We are looking at our environmental / climate change impact - slowly we will try and do better.

To start, we have invested in reusable (use once) face cloths (similar to cheeky wipes) which will reduce the amount of wetwipes we use (1.5 packs a day) and thus reduce landfill and the generation of methane.

I have also switched from floor potties to a toilet seat and ladder in the hope this encourages and makes toilet training easier for our little ones.

Little by little we will make a difference.

A time for reconnection and slowing down.
Exploring shapes and colours using sensory play, finding out about arctic animals and habitats, working on pre writing skills with playdough, visiting Walker-bout (family piece of land) to feed the chickens and check out the birds and their song.
Lots of fun and imagination with cardboard boxes. Finishing off with a visit to the Aquarium.

We have purchased an anti-choking device.

Ofsted have recently published new food guidance for Early Years following the death of little Oliver Steeper.

The Oliver Steeper Foundation has been setup to raise awareness of choking. They have made efforts to ensure all childcare settings including childminders have an anti-choking device. Each month they offer 50 free devices however after missing out on a few occasions we decided to purchase one.
