Rock Pool offers practical, evidence-based, trauma-informed training and recovery programmes that strengthens services and supports people affected by trauma, adversity and abuse. Rock Pool is joint venture between Sue Penna and Kirsty Mooney who have over 40 years combined experience of working in the public and voluntary and community sector. We specialise in supporting public services and the voluntary and community organisations to improve practice, share knowledge and expertise and inspire the workforce to deliver positive outcomes for all.

🐠 This role is also a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to develop professionally. Alongside the day-to-day role, you’ll spend one day a week at South Devon College, working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

The course will help you build practical skills in managing information, meetings and projects; professional communication and customer service; teamwork, problem-solving and taking greater ownership of your work. You’ll be able to put those skills into practice straight away as part of our team.

🐚 Free SPACE Toolkit Facilitator Training for professionals working with children and families across Cornwall.

We’re delighted to be working with HeadStart Kernow to offer fully funded places on our SPACE Toolkit Facilitator Training, taking place 1–3 December 2026.

SPACE (Supporting Parents and Children Emotionally) Toolkit is an early intervention, evidence-based programme that works alongside parents, carers, children and young people to build understanding of emotional wellbeing, behaviour and life experiences, with a focus on attachment, connection and resilience.

The training is suitable for professionals across a wide range of services, sectors and settings whose work involves supporting children and families — including education, health, early help, family support, community and voluntary services.

Over three days, you’ll gain the knowledge, practical resources and licence to deliver both the Adult and Children & Young People SPACE programmes within your own service or setting.

💚 Places are fully funded and free to attend.
