💚 Kindness in Our Community

Kindness presents itself in many ways, and this week we received a lovely parcel of sweet treats for our staffroom from the generous Alight kids club at Brixham Community Church.

They wanted to acknowledge and thank us for our hard work and dedication, and we are incredibly grateful for their thoughtful gesture.

As you can imagine, the goodies didn’t last long! 🍫🍪

Thank you for thinking of us and showing such kindness. 💚

🐾 Stella Makes a Difference!

Mrs McManaway’s dog, Stella, has already become a firm favourite with the children!

She has enjoyed meeting some of our older children and we’ve especially seen the difference she can make in the mornings. For some children who have found coming into class difficult, a little time with Stella and a walk to their classroom has helped them feel happy, calm and ready to start their day.

We’re so pleased to see the comfort and confidence Stella is already bringing to our school community. 💚

We are pleased to share that our uniform rail is now available in the office foyer.

If your child has grown out of any good-quality, clean uniform, please consider donating it to the rail. Equally, if your child needs any uniform items, please feel free to have a look and take what you need.

🌟 Year 5 and 6 have had a wonderful start to the year!

They have settled in brilliantly and are already enjoying lots of exciting learning. In PE, they have started tag rugby and are learning the Haka, which they have really enjoyed. 🏉

Their new writing block, ‘Incredible Edibles’, is all about writing disgusting recipes! They even followed a recipe to create a cola fountain. 🥤

They’re now looking forward to getting started with Food Technology.

We’ve been really impressed with how ready they are for their learning and how smart they look in their uniforms. Well done, Year 5 and 6! 👏💚

🌿 Sensory Garden Adventures! 🌿

Our nursery children have been having a fantastic time exploring our sensory garden! They’ve been busy playing, climbing, investigating and using their imaginations as they discover everything the garden has to offer.

From imaginative games and adventures and exploring the different sights, sounds and textures, there’s been lots of fun, laughter and learning along the way. 💚

We love seeing our youngest children growing in confidence and creativity as they learn through play! 🌱

We have lots of exciting after-school opportunities available for our children this term!

🎤 Singing Club – Years 4, 5 & 6
📚 11+ Club – Year 5
⚽ Years 3 & 4 Mixed Football
⚽ Years 5 & 6 Boys’ Football

📌 Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

👉 Sign up through Arbor → Clubs. Payment is required for the football clubs.

🍰🔎 A crime scene, a missing cake and a classroom full of detectives!

Our Year 3 and 4 children arrived at school on Monday to discover a crime scene… and a MISSING CHOCOLATE CAKE! 😱

With clues to follow and evidence to investigate, the children became miniature detectives, working together to try and solve the mystery…

Who ate all the cake? 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

This was the stimulus for their new writing unit, giving the children plenty to talk about, investigate and draw upon as they begin to develop their own writing.

We can't wait to see what stories they come up with! ✍️🍰
