🏌️ Following on from my last post...

My video showed me hitting every club in the bag in one continuous sequence. (You can watch again here... https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1D5hkQjYwR/ )

The reason?

Not to show different swings…

But to show that there is really only one swing.

Many golfers make the game complicated by thinking they need:

❌ A driver swing
❌ An iron swing
❌ A wedge swing

And that often leads to more thoughts, more adjustments, and less consistency.

The best golfers understand something simpler:

✅The club changes.
✅The swing stays the same.
✅Tempo and rhythm are identical.

RHYTHM AND TEMPO ARE THE CORNERSTONES OF CONSISTENCY

Great players don’t find a new swing every time they pick up a different club — they repeat a simple motion with great balance and timing!

If your golf feels confusing, the answer may not be another swing thought.

It may be removing a few.

🏌️ What part of your game do you find yourself overthinking? (Please feel free to comment, and I will reply)

🏌️ A Quick Golf Thought...

After more than 45 years in the game, one thing I've learned is that most golfers are looking for the wrong thing.

They think they need a new swing.

Often, what they really need is a clearer understanding of what's actually costing them shots.

It might be:
• Poor contact
• Inconsistent distance control
• A short game weakness
• Course management decisions
• Or simply practising the wrong things

The good news is that improvement is usually much simpler than golfers imagine.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing practical tips and insights to help local golfers enjoy their golf more and play better without overcomplicating the game.

CHIPPING ISSUES???

If you're struggling with your chipping and pitching around the greens, the solution may be much simpler than you think.

I use this short video in most of my short-game coaching, as it clearly shows how one of the world's best players approaches practising and executing chip shots.

This method helps eradicate the most common mistake I see people make every day with their greenside chipping... flicking the wrists through impact... which leads to topped and chunked connections.

The first rule of chipping is good connection with the ball, without which we have no chance of judging the distance.

Watch this short video from Jason Day, in which he explains how to practice the "no hands" feel we need to ensure more consistent connection with the ball.

BONUS TIP: Don't use anything more lofted than a pitching wedge unless you absolutely have to... the more loft on the club, the harder the connection becomes.

This is the method I use in all my short-game lessons, so if you still need help, just give me a bell.

Good Luck!
