Always a treat to see the Matthew of Bristol out on the water. For those who don't know, you're looking at a working replica of the original caravel that John Cabot sailed from Bristol to Newfoundland in 1497, complete with crow's nest and p**p deck. Calling all night owls who are looking to do their RYA Day Skipper theory course.

We've got spaces on our evening course, which covers chart work, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship.

Day skipper is designed for prospective skippers and crew who want to deepen their knowledge of navigation techniques before taking the helm in familiar waters.

This course is open to anyone. It kicks off on the 28th of September and runs as 42 hours of evening classes to fit around your day job.

In this video, attendees on a recent Outdoor First Aid course at our Bristol training centre practise treating simulated injuries on each other, exactly as they would if help wasn't close by. It's hands-on, realistic, and built for people who spend time in remote or outdoor environments, whether for leisure or work.

The benefit is that it's on-shore or online, meaning you can get it done quickly and at a good price.
Our Coastal Water Safety module is a 3-hour classroom or online session covering tidal and coastal hazards.
