The Securing Foundations at Year 7 project is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.

With the warm weather set to continue, we’re delighted to share The Heat is On! – Maths Challenge a set of fun and engaging mathematical activities for children of all ages.

There are opportunities for pupils from KS1 through to KS4 to get involved across Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June:

KS1 (Years 1–2)
KS1 children and their grown-ups are invited to explore some fun and engaging mathematical thinking and problem-solving challenges together. These are designed to spark curiosity and encourage discussion and reasoning at home.

KS2 (Years 3–6)
KS2 children and their grown-ups are invited to join us online for a short, lively session of mathematical thinking and problem-solving.
When: Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June
Time: 9:00–9:30am

KS3/4 (Years 7–10)
As the country bakes, what better way to spend some time than thinking creatively with maths!
Across Wednesday and Thursday, a series of maths challenges will be set for pupils to explore independently. These are designed to be both fun and thought-provoking, with an opportunity to submit solutions online.

We’re also planning to offer prizes for the best entries further details and submission links will be shared shortly via the Padlet link
