🎶👨‍🎤🎸👕 THIS FRIDAY! As we have done the last couple of years, Digitech is taking part in international Band T-Shirt Day. We are encouraging all students (and staff) to wear a t-shirt/hoodie showcasing a favourite band or musical artist.

We would love if students could bring in a voluntary donation of £1 as part of our fundraising for our whole-school summer music festival 'Digifest' which the Year 11's will be planning early next year for their Music coursework!

We'd absolutely love to beat our record for the number of band t-shirts worn on a single day so encourage all students to take part! If you don't have one, why not try and borrow one from a friend or relative or have a browse in charity shops this week? We've been told there are also a few bargain band tees to be found in some supermarkets and high street shops which could be an option but obviously only if time and budgets allow! Who knows, for some of our creative students, even a plain white tshirt could be a canvas for a home made design?!

As we begin our second week at Digitech, we reflect on an amazing first week back last week! We are delighted with the way that our Year 11 students have already started with preparing for exams, and with the early impression that our new Year 10s have made, excelling in their new subjects! Our Post 16 students are also already producing some outstanding, creative work. We are looking forward to an incredible year here at Digitech and will be sharing lots more news in the coming weeks...

A week on from our superstar Year 13s, it was the turn of our Year 11s to collect their results today and it was another incredible set of results all round! The vast majority of students ended up with not only the results they needed but far beyond, with only a small few students missing a few marks here and there - however, with lots of support on site, staff were able to guide students towards their next steps whether they got what they were looking for or not.

Students - We are EXTREMELY proud of ALL of you, regardless of results, as we know how very hard every single one of you has worked over your two years with us at Digitech. We also know that whatever comes next, you will continue to go from strength to strength and carry on developing into the amazing young people you have already started to become. We cannot believe how quickly those two years have gone but we have truly loved having you with us and we cannot wait to hear about all your new academic/vocational adventures that lie ahead. The door is always open if you need any advice or support in the future though! An extra shout out to those of you coming back to us for Post 16 in a couple of weeks - we're so excited to be seeing you again and have lots of amazing things planned for you in Year 12 and 13!

A final message to all the departing Year 11s and 13s on behalf of all the staff at Digitech to say once again how proud we are of all of you and how much of a pleasure it has been to have been a small part of your story so far. Thank you for all you have brought to Digitech during your time with us and please do keep in touch!

They smashed it!! We are super proud of our post 16 students who have achieved, on average, our best results for Post 16! We are equally proud of students across our partners, Bristol City Robins Foundation, boomsatsuma and Bristol School of Acting, who have achieved similarly superb results. We wish everybody the best of luck as they move onto the next stages of their lives, whether it be university, Apprenticeships or work within the Creative and Digital fields, thank you for letting us be a part of your journeys so far, you've been amazing!

Last Wednesday evening we bid a final farewell to our amazing Year 11s at the stunning Mercure Bristol North The Grange Hotel for the class of 2026 Prom. The students all looked impeccable and had an evening of dancing, feasting and Karaoke! Everyone also got to play some outdoor games and get snapped in the awesome Photobooth from Photobooth Bristol. A massive shout out to the School Council (along with our wonderful Anna) who planned and organised the event, making the most of the funds raised from this year's Digifest. Thanks to all the Digi staff who helped make it happen along with the great crew at the Mercure for looking after everyone and providing the perfect buffet! Year 11 - we'll miss you all, thank you for being such superstars in your time with us!

A few misty eyed staff and students this morning as we said a final Digitech farewell (at least until Prom) to our amazing Y11 'Class of 2026' cohort. Our annual Leavers assembly, featuring the obligatory staff musical performance, Awards aplenty and Lily's - as usual - incredible Leavers video was led by Head of School Simon Jones, who led the tributes to the hard work and achievements of the students with a few wise words thrown in (hopefully you'll all remember If Not You, Who? If Not Now, When? even if you forgot 3, 2, 1, Quality Audience after Term 1 of Year 10...). While shirts and yearbooks were signed, the students were lucky enough to enjoy some sweet treats from the awesome Sweet Nelly Blue!

Year 11, you really are an incredible group of young people that we've all had immense pleasure getting to work with over the last two years. We're very proud of the people you have become and cannot wait to hear about your onward journeys. We also are really looking forward to welcoming some of you back for Post 16 in September with lots of amazing things planned, but either way we'll see a lot of you for Prom on the 1st July and for results day on Thursday 20th August.

Enjoy your Summer Year 11, you've earned it!
