✨ Welcome to Henbury Court Primary Academy ✨

We’re so pleased to be here and to share a little window into life at Henbury Court Primary Academy, right at the heart of our Bristol community 💛

We are a welcoming, two‑form entry primary school where children are known, supported and encouraged to be curious, confident learners from the very start of their journey. 🌱

For our youngest children, we pride ourselves on offering a nurturing, playful and positive start in EYFS, building strong foundations for learning, friendships and a lifelong love of school.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing moments from school life, learning in action and what makes Henbury Court such a special place to grow and belong.

👋 If you’re a family thinking about starting school, we’d love you to follow along and get to know us.

Wow! What a fantastic Cultural Week!
2025 was our biggest celebration yet.

A big thank you to all the children, families and staff for making it the best yet! It was wonderful celebrating our diverse identities and heritages together through our lunchtime menu where we sampled food from Jamaica, Nigeria, Eastern Europe and India, as well as our exciting whole school fashion show, where children and parents/carers wore outfits representing their cultural identity and heritages. What an amazing sea of colour and diversity it was! We also displayed our artistic learning and skills during our cultural art exhibition, where artwork inspired from countries around the world was on show.

We were especially privileged to conclude the week with the unveiling of our Mural of Belonging—a beautiful collaboration between our children and renowned artist Dr. Michele Curtis Iconic Black Britons . There are a couple of finishing touches but as you can see it is an amazing piece of artwork that is a precious visual legacy of all that we stand for at Henbury Court Primary Academy

Many voices, one strong song- at Henbury Court, we all belong.

Share your views on SEND and You, the local Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Information, Advice & Support Service (SEND IASS) provider.

Bristol Parent Carers is inviting families to share their views on the SEND and You Service at two listening events. The service is being re-tendered, which means that Bristol City Council will be asking organisations to apply to run the service.

The budget won’t change much, so we want to know what support families find most helpful. This will help make sure the next provider best meets the needs of local families.
In-person event: 30th April 2025, St Werburghs Community Centre, 10-11:30am
Online event: 1st May, ZOOM, 7:30-8:30pm
Your feedback will help ensure the service meets the needs of families in Bristol. Please come along if you can.

Ramadan Mubarak to all of our families celebrating Ramadan this weekend.

Please remember we have a prayer room which is available for your children if you would like them to pray in the school day during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

If your child is fasting, we can support them with this in school. Please let us know so we can make arrangements for them during lunch time and can ensure they are not taking part in energy intensive activities like sport or PE.

Finally, we look forward to inviting our whole school community to our Iftar party from 4pm on Thursday 13th March. We are really excited about this event and are certain it will be our biggest and best yet!

We hope this special month serves as a time of reflection, prayer and faith for our Muslim families.

Ramadan Mubarak!

All families in our community are welcome to join us for a weekly stay and play. Come and have a coffee or cup of tea whilst your child or children enjoy playing. It's a great opportunity to meet new families and great time for your child to socialise.
