I’ve been meaning to post these since they were made by fantastic students last week!

These are drypoint prints, the image was scratched into the surface or the plate. Ink was pasted on and then polished back to create all of that wonderful atmosphere. Paper was then placed over and the whole thing was squeezed through the printing press to transfer the ink from plate to paper.

Fabulous group the here last week having a play with tetrapak printing! Really fun print technique, and I loved the different approaches everyone took!

Great start to the New Year with students at .totnes school. I’m always blown away by the standard of their work and their imagination!

What a lovely morning! Always enjoy teaching one to one and this morning was no exception! I had the most lovely time teaching botanical monoprint with (check out her amazing photography too!) and watching as she explored her own unique style and approach to making prints this way. It’s always fascinating how distinctive styles appear even with this print method that doesn’t require any drawing. The colours and the compositions become completely your own

I made the little peace dove design from an original linocut. All you have to do is cut and fold them together and they’re ready to decorate your home!

Had a fantastic monoprint session last week with A Level and Btec students at King Edward IV Community College down in Totnes.
The students got really absorbed and made some fantastic work
