The teams have already been busy coming up with ideas and planning their short films — and we can’t wait to see what they create!

🏆🎬 FILM OF THE MONTH WINNERS! 🎬🏆

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that The Perfect World, made by our Studio 4 filmmakers (ages 11–14) has won the Sparks Film of the Month Award for August 2026! 🎉

The judges were seriously impressed by this ambitious sci-fi thriller, but three things really stood out:

🎥 A brilliantly creative opening – including a fantastic worm’s-eye view shot that throws you straight into the chaos.

🧟 Great practical FX & fight choreography – the infected looked fantastic, and the action was cleverly staged to create maximum impact while keeping everyone safe.

⚡ Pacing that keeps you hooked – from the frantic search for an antidote to the tense monster-filled finale, the film keeps the pressure on right to the very end!

Made during our weekly filmmaking classes, The Perfect World is a fantastic example of what our young filmmakers can achieve when they get creative both in front of and behind the camera.

Huge congratulations to our Studio 4 crew! 👏🏆🎬

We’re incredibly proud of you all!

🎬✨ THAT’S A WRAP ON THREE EPIC WEEKS OF SUMMER CAMPS! ✨🎬

What an incredible three weeks it’s been at Sparks Film School Bristol Central! From filmmaking to animation, our young makers have brought so much enthusiasm, imagination, creativity and talent to every day. 🎥🎨

It’s been an absolute joy watching them get stuck in, try new things, learn new filmmaking and animation skills and grow in confidence along the way. We’ve seen some amazing ideas, brilliant teamwork and plenty of movie magic! 🌟

Now it’s over to our fantastic workshop leaders to work their magic behind the scenes, putting the finishing touches to all the films and animations. We cannot wait to share the finished creations with our young filmmakers and their families! 🍿🎬

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has been part of our summer camps. You’ve made it one to remember! ❤️
