A massive well done to everyone that took part in this years Global Game Jam!
Over the weekend many of our students from a range of programmes, external industry peeps, and returning graduates came to campus to take part in the worlds biggest game jam. 48-hours of collaboration, creativity and fun with the final results speaking for themselves.
This years theme was "Masks" which prompted jammers to create some incredible titles. We saw games including a cat escaping a search light in Toki Len, an assassination game where they promised us no-one actually dies in Masquerade Madness, or an insane narrative game The C. Reeyus Case of the Sub-aquatic Sequel (as well as many many more).

Just a reminder that all are welcome to take part in the Global Game Jam at the University of the West of England kicking off this Friday 30th January at 4pm on Frenchay Campus!
The GGJ is the world’s largest game creation event, involving tens of thousands of “jammers” across hundreds of sites globally.
So whether you’re a coding wizard, animation guru, illustration powerhouse, audio/music maestro, 3D-Modelling legend, or just curious about games, all people and levels are welcome!

This years TIGA Awards have announced students from UWE Bristols Games Technology programme are finalists for Best Student Game with their title "Temple Trouble"!
