This week we’re celebrating Walk to Nursery Week and encouraging our families to walk, scoot or cycle to nursery where possible! 🌿💚

This will be continuing every month until the end of the year!✨

Walking to nursery is a wonderful way to start the day and offers so many benefits for both children and adults:

🌟 Encourages a healthy and active lifestyle.
🌟 Supports children’s physical development, coordination and gross motor skills.
🌟 Helps improve mental wellbeing and provides a calm, positive start to the day.
🌟 Gives children the opportunity to explore their local community and talk about what they can see, hear and smell.
🌟 Reduces traffic and air pollution around our nursery, helping to protect our environment.
🌟 Creates valuable time for conversation, strengthening relationships and developing language skills.

Even if you can only walk part of the journey, every step makes a difference! Why not park a little further away or leave the pushchair at home and enjoy the walk together?

🌍💚 We’ve Done It Again! 💚🌍

We are incredibly proud to share that we are 2 weeks away from submitted our application to renew our Eco-Schools Green Flag Award for the second year running! 🌱♻️

Over the past year, our amazing children, staff, and families have worked so hard to make our nursery a greener, more environmentally friendly place. Together we have:

🌿 Grown and cared for flowers and herbs in our garden.
♻️ Encouraged recycling and reducing waste throughout the nursery.
🪴 Explored nature through outdoor learning and bug hunts.
💧 Learned about saving water and energy in our daily routines.
🎨 Used recycled and natural materials in our creative play.
🐝 Created habitats for wildlife and discovered how we can care for the world around us.
🌎 Celebrated environmental awareness through exciting activities and discussions about how even the smallest actions can make a big difference.

At Treehouse, we believe it’s never too early to teach children the importance of looking after our planet. We are so proud of the enthusiasm, kindness, and responsibility our little eco champions show every single day. 💚

A huge thank you to our wonderful families for supporting our eco journey. We are keeping our fingers crossed and can’t wait to hear the outcome of our Green Flag application! 🌍✨

Today, we celebrate an incredible group of children as they take their next big step from preschool to primary school.

What an amazing journey it has been. We’ve watched you grow in confidence, build wonderful friendships, discover your unique personalities, and fill our days with laughter, curiosity, and endless smiles. We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you.

As Dr. Seuss reminds us:

“You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so… get on your way!”

National Baby-Led Weaning Day 💛

Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.

We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purées or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.
