So looking back at my birthday cards from last month I see a theme emerging which must be what a woman in midlife must do - eat cake, feel guilty so drink wine or is it drink wine come home and cos you don’t care at that point, eat cake.
I see from Lynne Lewis’ card she had already sussed this !

I have posted this before but I was coaching my daughter on just these lessons yesterday and she seemed to really take them on board - not bad as sometimes teenagers find it hard to really hear their parents for many reasons. Then later in the day I realised I needed to remember them myself ....oh and these things are easier to give up if you’ve had a good night’s sleep, in fact feeling good and feeling positive about yourself is always helped by sleep. 😘
Time to move on...

The inequality, abuse and mistreatment of women around the world is one of the biggest travesties of our time which is why last week's womens' marches around the world gave us hope that with solidarity women (and men) can come together to challenge the inequality, abuse and mistreatment: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jan/23/millions-have-done-something-together-why-the-womens-march-will-spark-the-resistance

Interesting article from yesterday's Guardian columnist Oliver Burkeman quoting Mark Forster (time management expert) who suggests that having a long to-do list which I am guilty of isn't helpful. Does anyone ever complete their to-do list in a day and if so any tips on how you do it ?

Could you do away with to-do lists?
