🚨 CLOTHES RAILS NEEDED! 👗👕💙

Thanks to your incredible generosity, Headway Bristol is currently bursting at the seams with donated clothes… unfortunately, our clothes rails aren’t quite keeping up! 😂

We’d really love to get everything out on display and raising vital funds, so we’re looking for sturdy clothes rails — shop-style or heavy-duty would be amazing.

We’d also be very grateful for hangers and shelving/display units for all the other lovely items you’ve donated. 🧥🛍️

A huge Headway Bristol happy birthday to our wonderful Activities & Volunteers Coordinator, Millie! 💜💙

Millie is always coming up with new ideas and ways to make things bigger, better and more fun for the people we support — and she’s never afraid to roll her sleeves up and put the graft in to make them happen! 😂💪

Whether she’s organising activities, supporting our amazing volunteers, helping at events or simply stepping in wherever she’s needed, Millie always goes above and beyond.

Kind, sweet, caring and incredibly helpful, she brings so much enthusiasm and energy to Headway Bristol and we’re very lucky to have her. 🥰

We hope you have the loveliest birthday and get thoroughly spoilt — you deserve it!

Well… Headway Bristol did Butlin’s! 😂💜💙

What an absolutely brilliant weekend!

We packed in tribute acts, comedy, swimming, shopping, 80s fancy dress, line dancing, two silent discos, endless food, midnight snacks, air hockey, video games, far too many attempts at the grab machines (we all lost. Repeatedly. We don’t want to talk about it 😂) and SO much dancing… including an impromptu rave in Burger King! 😂

But amongst all of the madness, there was something really special about this weekend. ❤️

Watching everyone getting involved, trying things, laughing and dancing together and looking out for one another was just brilliant. Seeing friendships grow and everyone supporting each other so naturally was nothing short of completely wholesome.

We work hard to provide support, opportunities and experiences for people affected by brain injury, but weekends like this remind us exactly why we do what we do.

There were so many moments where you could just look around and see pure joy on everyone’s faces — and honestly, that was priceless. 💜💙

We’ve laughed, danced, eaten far too much and made some absolutely brilliant memories together.

We may have come home exhausted, probably a few pounds heavier 😂, but definitely with very full hearts. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came and made this weekend what it was.

🚌💜💙 WE’RE OFF TO BUTLIN’S! 💙💜🚌

Today is a pretty special day for Headway Bristol… we’re on our way to our first service user holiday in over 11 YEARS! 🎉🥳

Our service users and staff are currently heading down to Butlin’s Minehead for a weekend of fun, laughter, entertainment and, most importantly, making some brilliant memories together. 🥰

It’s been a long time since Headway has been able to offer a trip like this, so seeing everyone on the coach today, bags packed and ready for the weekend, feels like a real milestone for us. 💜

We hope everyone has the BEST time — and something tells us there may be a few photos and stories to share over the next couple of days! 📸😂

🎉 Happy Birthday Dave! 🎂

Please join us in wishing a very Happy Birthday to Dave Ball, our brilliant Vice Chair of Trustees! 🥳

Dave is one of those people who does so much of the important stuff behind the scenes at Headway Bristol — much of which most people probably never even realise is happening!

Since retiring, Dave has also become a regular volunteer with us. He’s officially meant to volunteer one day a week… although we’re pretty sure he hasn’t quite grasped the concept of “one day”! 😂

Whether it’s in his role as Vice Chair, volunteering his time or quietly getting things sorted in the background, Dave gives an incredible amount to Headway Bristol and we really do appreciate everything he does. 💙💜

Happy Birthday, Dave! We hope you manage to take at least today off! 😂🎈🎂

This week is Remember A Charity Week – a chance to celebrate the incredible difference that gifts left to charities in Wills can make.

Here at Headway Bristol, we support people whose lives have been changed by brain injury, as well as the families and carers alongside them.

A gift in your Will, no matter how big or small, could help us continue to be there for people in the future – providing support, friendship, practical help and a place where people affected by brain injury can feel understood. 💙

Of course, family and loved ones come first. But after taking care of the people closest to you, even a small gift to Headway Bristol could leave a lasting legacy. 💜

Sarah is bubbly, happy, hilarious and absolutely brilliant at what she does. She brings so much fun and laughter to Headway, and there’s certainly never a dull moment when she’s around! 😂

But behind all the laughs is someone who genuinely cares about the people we support and always gives her absolute best. We’re incredibly lucky to have her as part of our Headway Bristol family. 💚🧠

🚐💙 CAN ANYONE WITH A VAN HELP HEADWAY BRISTOL? 💙🚐

We’ve spotted this lovely wooden gazebo for sale for just £20 and think it could make a fantastic addition to the outdoor space at our Headway Bristol centre in Kingswood. 🌿

There’s just one problem… we have no way of getting it to us! 😂

📍 It needs collecting from near Asda Whitchurch and bringing to our centre in Kingswood.

The gazebo is approximately 191cm wide x 120cm deep x 225cm high, but we can arrange for it to be dismantled ready for collection – so we’re only looking for somebody with a van or suitable vehicle who could kindly help us transport it.

If you’re able to help, or know a local business/person who might be willing to lend us a hand, please drop us a message. 🙏

We’d be incredibly grateful – every bit of community support helps us make our new centre an even better place for the people we support. 💙

We now have our very own Vinted shop 🎉 AND we’re going to be selling bits from our lovely new centre in Kingswood too!

So… if you’re planning a clear out, PLEASE think of us! 🙏😂

We’re looking for clothes, shoes, bags, toys, books, games and anything else in good condition that we can sell to raise some much-needed funds for Headway Bristol 💜

Basically, if you’ve been meaning to sort out that wardrobe/cupboard/spare room for the last 6 months… this is your sign! 😂

We are also DESPERATELY looking for coat hangers and clothing rails/racks 👚👗 – we need lots, so even if you’ve only got a handful of hangers hiding in the back of a cupboard, we’ll happily take them!

You can drop donations into our new Kingswood centre, or if you’ve got things for us but can’t get them here, give us a shout and we can arrange collection 🚗

And if you haven’t got anything to donate, you can still help us by giving this a share – you never know who might be having a massive clear out! 🤞

📁 FREE TO A GOOD HOME… 4 FILING CABINETS! 📁

We’re going paperless at Headway Bristol 🎉 and it turns out we’ve acquired rather more filing cabinets than we know what to do with! 😂

So, we have 4 filing cabinets FREE to anyone who can make use of them.

They’ll need to be collected from our Kingswood Centre – no delivery unfortunately (we’re good, but we’re not that good! 😆).

Perfect for another charity, community group, office, workshop or anyone who loves a good bit of organised storage!

Drop us a message if you’d like one (or all four!) and please feel free to share – we’d much rather see them put to good use than go to waste. ♻️
