Our school is taking part in a national project, run by the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) on behalf of Active Travel England.

Please take part in a short online survey by 14th October 2026 to share your experiences
of walking, wheeling or cycling to primary school, and what could make these journeys
easier and safer. The survey takes around 10 minutes and can be completed once for each
child in Reception, Year 1, Year 5 or Year 6, whether or not they regularly travel
actively to school. You’ll be asked about how your child travels, what helps or makes active
travel difficult, and your views on possible improvements.

To take part, please use the link:
https://natcen.ac.uk/ActiveSchoolTravel
Taking part is entirely your choice, and there are no right or wrong answers.

More information is available on NatCen’s project pages, or you can contact the team at
[email protected] or call 0808 168 1356.

A very warm welcome to our new families! 🎉

Whether your little one has just started in Reception or you’ve joined us higher up in the school this September, we are thrilled to welcome you to Gillingstool Primary!

The Friends of Gillingstool (FOG) are already busy planning some lovely events for the year ahead.

Being part of the FOG PTA is a great way to get connected, meet other parents, and support our school.

We look forward to meeting you at our next event or around the playground! 👋✨
