Yoga as a way of giving great meaning, purpose, strength and nourishment to beings of today’s world. Come, Yoga and experience your own i-D.

A Yoga i-D is inspired by the Art of Living and how we constantly evolve and therefore so will our connection with Yoga and ourselves. It respects that we all lead different lives and our bodies are individual. It has the wisdom of knowing that when we reconnect with ourselves, we feel much better! According to the seasons, our needs and our practice changes. A Yoga i-D loves to work with the chan

Last night I was gifted by Barney to go to for a ‘Music of the Mystics: Sufi Qawwali Night with Allah’. It was a stunning immersive night in to Sufism, featuring poetry, incredible Tabla, rhythm and melody. Turns out, the flute player was my friend whom I haven’t seen for 21 years! It was a moment in life which felt opening on many levels, mostly a synchronised gift from the universe that invited me to see myself as a part of this web of connection and trust in the path, weaving, revealing, healing and guiding us in to a space of remembrance. Not only is it so important to immerse in music with true depth and lineage, but to also see life as being in rhythm with the Devine.

A rare evening out for in London watching the wonderful Deva Premal & Mitan.

What I appreciate about travelling to see these fellow Kirtanas play their interpretations of mantra and song, is their humbleness. No clapping after mantra, just bathing in the silence and prayer.

Having sat there this time last year too, it reminded me how much can change in life over the course of one year since last seeing them play and the expectation we have to relive the same sense again… such is an illusion.

We witnessed vulnerability, courage and strength by everyone on stage last night, sharing their personal unexpected circumstances, it felt profound.

Being privileged to then be a part of their determination to continue the show, held with grace, steadiness and ease…

I came away with 3 blessings…

1. Forgiveness to ourselves and to others is fundamental and always a possible alternative to awaken in any given moment. How it is the awakening of compassion.
2. Health is our wealth and we are not in control, our death day is just around the corner and we never know which way life will choose to turn, however much we try to anticipate what’s next, we can never know. Each moment is sacred.
3. Chanting and singing continues to be the most powerful way for me personally to connect and overcome feelings, than any other practice I’ve tried. Just to open the voice, opens the heart, when in harmony with vibration of sound, nothing else exists and the inner harmony it creates, dissolves everything that came before it and brings me in to an ultimate state of peace having connected with self and that which is beyond myself.

Truly grateful for these musicians and fellow quest takers in travelling the world and making it their life’s work to share this practice.

Sending so much love.

Blessings to Jackson for the invitation to be there at Union Chapel on the last night managing the tour. Epic and beautiful in all ways. Medicine.
