At our preschool, we believe every emotion is important ๐๐
We support our little ones in understanding that itโs okay to feel happy, excited, sad, worried, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Helping children recognise and talk about their feelings builds confidence, resilience, and kindness towards themselves and others.
Every feeling is valid, and every child is always listened to, supported, and cared for in a safe and nurturing environment ๐โจ

๐ถ๐ A song we have been learning this term ๐ฆ๐ถ
This term, the children have been enjoying learning this lovely caterpillar and butterfly song! ๐
Why not have a little sing-song together at home and see if your little one can teach you the actions too? ๐ตโจ
We love seeing how much they enjoy joining in and singing along! ๐๐๐ฆ

๐ Today we wear blue for Autism Awareness Day ๐
Today at preschool we are proudly wearing blue to raise awareness and celebrate the uniqueness of every child. We believe every child learns, grows, and shines in their own special way, and today is a lovely opportunity to promote kindness, inclusion, and understanding.
We are proud to support our amazing children and families and to remind everyone that differences should be celebrated. ๐๐งฉโจ

๐ธ Little Speckled Frogs ๐ธ
This week we are learning all about different life cycles! ๐ฑ
Today we got creative and messy while exploring our โLittle Speckled Frogsโ theme. We used chia seeds to make a fun, bumpy pond and blended chickpeas to create soft, foamy โwater.โ
The children loved placing their frogs on lily pads and watching them โjumpโ into the pond while singing along ๐ธ๐ถ
A fantastic sensory activity that encouraged imagination, creativity, and lots of giggles! ๐

๐ณ Introducing Our Donation Tree! ๐ณ
We are excited to introduce our Donation Tree, a wonderful way to build strong parent partnerships within our preschool community.
Each leaf on our tree shows an item that would help support the childrenโs learning, creativity, and play. If you are able to donate any of these items, we would be incredibly grateful. Every contributionโbig or smallโhelps enrich the experiences we provide for the children.
Working together with our families helps us create the best possible environment for our little learners. Thank you for being such an important part of our preschool community! ๐
Thank you so much to all the parents who have already donated and taken a leaf โจ๐

๐๐ The Hungry Caterpillar Fun! ๐๐ฆ
Last week our little learners explored a Hungry Caterpillar themed tuff tray! The children loved discovering different foods, insects, and natural materials hidden in the soil. They used tweezers and their hands to search, sort, and talk about what the caterpillar might like to eat.
This activity encouraged:
๐ฑ Sensory exploration
๐ Fine motor skills
๐ฃ๏ธ Language and storytelling
๐ฆ Learning about the caterpillarโs journey to becoming a butterfly
The children especially enjoyed matching the foods and pretending to feed the hungry caterpillar! What a fun and engaging way to bring the story to life. ๐โจ
