It has been a long time coming, but we have finally completed the renovation of our new Mandela Classroom, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome the children into their beautiful new space.

The children have absolutely loved settling in, exploring their new environment, and learning their new routines. Watching them make the space their own has been so special.

One of the things we love most is creating our classrooms from the ground up. Every detail has been carefully considered to reflect the Montessori approach and to ensure the environment feels calm, inviting, and purposeful. From the calming colour palette to the thoughtful layout, our teachers have approached the design like scientists—observing, planning, refining, and creating a space that truly supports children's independence and wellbeing.

Buying a new building means that renovations have to happen one step at a time, but it also gives us the wonderful opportunity to put the Rozey Days Montessori stamp on every room. We are excited to continue transforming each space, ensuring it reflects our ethos of being a true home away from home, where children are always at the heart of everything we do.

This has been a real team vision, and we couldn't be happier with how it has turned out. Here's to many happy memories in our new Mandela Classroom! 💚✨

We are so lucky to have such incredible teachers at Rozey Days who make up our dedicated and passionate team.

One person all of our Kingswood families will know and love is Mr David. Over the last two years, he has become such an important part of our nursery. From his signature smile greeting everyone at the door each morning to his warmth, kindness and ability to meet every child exactly where they are, he has made an immeasurable difference to so many little lives.

As his family begin an exciting new chapter in Weston, we couldn't be happier for them—but we are truly heartbroken to see him go. He has been an exceptional teacher, a wonderful friend and a truly valued colleague.

Bristol's loss is Weston's gain, and we have no doubt that whichever nursery is lucky enough to welcome him next will quickly realise what a remarkable educator he is.

From all of us at Rozey Days, thank you, Mr David, for everything you have given to our children, families and team. You will be hugely missed, and we wish you and your family every happiness in this exciting new chapter. ❤️❤️❤️

Garden diaries from Fishponds:

Today, some of our children harvested the juiciest tomatoes ever! 🍅

Kindly donated by one of our parents, the tomato plants have been lovingly cared for and nurtured by the children over the past few weeks. They have learned that growing food takes patience—first watching the plants flower, then seeing tiny green tomatoes appear, and finally harvesting beautiful, ripe fruit.

For young children, it's quite a magical concept to understand that a little seed and a plant can eventually provide us with delicious food to enjoy. Seeing that journey unfold with their own eyes makes the experience so meaningful.

The extra sunshine has made our tomatoes incredibly sweet, and the children thoroughly enjoyed tasting the fruits of their hard work! We love getting our hands in the soil, growing produce from scratch, and helping children develop a real connection with nature.

It's a wonderful reminder that with patience, care, and a little love, beautiful things can grow. 💚

This week in our Fishponds nursery: The Mandela Class, have been enthusiastically preparing for our upcoming Sports Day. Through movement, coordination, and teamwork, they have been building confidence, developing gross motor skills, and enjoying the process of challenging themselves in a fun and supportive environment. 🏃‍♀️🏅

In Austen Class, the children explored colour through a hands-on playdough activity. After making their own playdough, they experimented by combining two or more colours and carefully observed the changes that took place. This simple investigation encouraged curiosity, prediction, and discovery while supporting their understanding of colour, creativity, and early scientific thinking. The sensory experience also strengthened fine motor skills as little hands rolled, squeezed, and shaped their colourful creations. 🌈✨

🏅 What a fun Sports Day at Rozey Days Kingswood! ☀️

What does a Rozey Days Sports Day look like? Lots of movement, laughter, teamwork, and cheering each other on! We celebrate what our amazing bodies can do while having fun together.

The children loved practising their goal kicks, running races, trying their headers, and giving every activity their best effort. We even made time for the children to demonstrate their stretching and breathing exercises to their parents. These breathing and grounding techniques are something we practise every day at nursery to help us regulate our emotions, stay calm, and feel grounded.

The biggest cheers of the afternoon were saved for our wonderful parents, who joined in with the parent race to round off a fantastic day!

This week in Malala class we've been busy exploring, creating and discovering!

🧍 We have been learning about the different layers of the human body using our new human body puzzle, sparking lots of curiosity and discussion.

💧 Our new syringe work has been a huge hit this week, helping to develop fine motor skills, concentration and hand-eye coordination.

🧁 A group of children also enjoyed making a delicious cake together, which we all shared for afternoon snack. Baking is great fun, but it also requires some serious concentration! From carefully measuring ingredients and making sure no eggshells made it into the mixture, to resisting the temptation to eat the raw ingredients, the children showed fantastic focus, teamwork and self-control throughout.

🌎 As part of our North America continent box, the children have been fascinated by discovering the amazing animals that live there and learning more about their habitats.

Yesterday we celebrated our Kingswood Nursery Graduation, and what a special afternoon it was! 🎓✨

It was wonderful to celebrate how far each of our preschoolers has come and to share some of their favourite songs with their families. One of the highlights was hearing the children talk about their hopes and wishes for the future.

We also loved sharing a buffet that reflected the different continents the children sang about, before ending the celebration with a delicious ice cream – what a treat! 🍦

Some of our graduates have been with us since the baby room, so watching them take this next big step into primary school is incredibly emotional. We are going to miss them all so much, but we are also so excited to see the amazing things they will achieve.

As they begin their next adventure, we hope they always remember to be kind, curious, and courageous, carrying with them the values of being citizens of the world. 🌍💚

What a super sunny week! We have done our best to keep the children as cool as possible with Montessori activities ☀️

Every activity at Rozey Days Montessori has a purpose—supporting children's development today while preparing them for tomorrow.

🌿 Threading with pipe cleaners, Sandpaper Letters, and Metal Insets strengthened fine motor control, concentration, and the foundations for confident writing. The children also explored Inset Designs, developing pencil control, creativity, pattern-making, and the mathematical thinking that supports later geometry.

🐒 Our Asian rainforest biome continued to inspire. With lots of art, exploring the rainforest layers while building knowledge, language, and a deeper understanding of the natural world.

🏗️ New construction materials inspired imagination, problem-solving, collaboration, language development, and gross motor skills as children brought their ideas to life.

At Montessori, every carefully prepared activity has both a direct aim and an indirect purpose, nurturing confident, curious, and independent learners every step of the way.

🌍♻️ World Environment Week at Rozey Days Montessori ♻️🌍

Looking after our planet is an important part of our Citizens of the World curriculum. Last week, the children explored how we can all make a difference by sorting plastics, cardboard, and metal into the correct recycling groups.

Through hands-on experiences, the children learned that even small actions can help protect the environment and reduce waste.

By caring for the world around them, they are developing a sense of responsibility, respect, and understanding of their role within the wider global community.

The future is in their hands, and we are proud to be nurturing the next generation of thoughtful, environmentally conscious citizens. 💚🌎
