Today, our children celebrated Holi and brought such infectious joy as we welcomed the spring together. 🌸✨
Marking this beautiful festival, celebrated by Hindus across the world, was a vibrant reminder of the power of community, colour, and shared traditions.
In an uncertain world where people sometimes seek to divide us, we are incredibly proud of our Citizenship of the World curriculum, which teaches that we have far more that unites us than divides us.
Today was a perfect example of that spirit in action — laughter, learning, and togetherness in every splash of colour.
Wishing all of our families a very Happy Holi! 🌈💛

✨ Lunar New Year in Austen Class ✨
This week, our Austen children have been exploring the Lunar New Year through hands-on experiences and creative crafting.
They’ve been learning about the rich tapestry of traditions that make this celebration so special for many families around the world.
As part of our learning, we also discovered the continent of origin — Asia 🌏 — linking culture with geography in a meaningful way.
Our Montessori continent boxes are a much-loved part of the classroom. Through exploring animals, currency, language and cultural objects, the children deepen their understanding of the wider world in a concrete, sensory way.
At Rozey Days, we believe learning should be beautifully connected. By linking celebrations, geography, art and culture, we help nurture respectful, curious children who see themselves as citizens of the world.

February so far...
Over cooked pancakes and wonky hearts are the real work of Montessori children.
February has been a very hands in month whilst learning all about finding perfection in the imperfection.
Whilst our adult lens often looks for perfect projects, Montessori observed that children gain joy and maximum learning from the experience itself, rather than the product.
Making pancakes 🥞
The children used the concepts of measuring and pouring as well as mixing and estimating. These are all skills they have been acquiring during their practical life work. 🍶
Valentines Day ♥️🩶🩷🎨🖍️
During Valentine's crafts the children recalled their previous knowledge of how to mix colours to make their perfect shade of pink or purple ( and even grey!)

🌲 Forest School has arrived in Kingswood! 🌲
What an incredible Thursday adventure we had on our very first Forest School session at our Kingswood site! 🚌✨
The children absolutely loved travelling on the bus, discovering their brand-new base camp, listening to the beautiful birdsong, and warming up with the most delicious hot chocolate i🍫☕
We all came back muddy (teachers included! 😄), full of joy, laughter, and wonderful stories to share with our friends. There’s nothing like a bit of mud and magic to make learning memorable! 🌧️💚
We’re so excited to now offer Forest School every Thursday in Kingswood — alongside our Monday sessions in Fishponds.
Bring on the muddy puddles, wet socks, happy hearts, and curious minds! 🌿👣✨

🌿🎣 Forest School Mondays in Fishponds 🎣🌿
Today at Forest School, our Austen class were busy crafting their very own fishing rods — starting with nothing but long sticks, curiosity, and lots of imagination ✨
The children carefully prepared their sticks, learning to use real tools such as peelers, small saws, and wool.
These hands-on experiences are fantastic for developing fine motor skills, coordination, confidence, and problem-solving.
And the magic didn’t stop there… 🌈
Once complete, the fishing rods became part of imaginative play — used for pretend fishing by ponds, cooking up stories in the mud kitchen, and even transforming into magic wands and drumsticks.
Forest School gives our children the freedom to explore, take safe risks, and let their creativity lead the way. We absolutely love that these muddy, joyful Mondays are a regular part of nursery life at our Fishponds setting 💚

✨ Celebrating 9 Years of Rozey Days Montessori ✨
❤️🎉🎂🥳
Nine years ago, Rozey Days Montessori opened its doors — and what a journey it has been. These years have been a steep learning curve, balancing the needs of my own family alongside the responsibility of running a growing business across two sites. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been purposeful.
I attribute every bit of success to Allah’s blessings first and foremost, and to my incredibly patient and supportive husband, Asem, who has stood beside me through every challenge and triumph.
I am not in childcare by accident. Those who know me closely know that my own childhood came with many challenges, and this has shaped a deep-rooted passion (some might say obsession!) to ensure every child gets the very best start in their early years — especially those who have experienced trauma. Early childhood matters, and getting it right can change the course of a life.
I am endlessly proud of our incredible team. Their dedication, compassion and professionalism inspire me daily — and they teach me just as much as I hope I teach them.
As we move into the next chapter, my hope is to remain firmly rooted in my “why”: to give as many children as possible the strongest, safest and most joyful foundation for life.
And of course, none of this would be complete without Maria Montessori — whose philosophy has shaped me not only as a teacher, but as a mother too.
Here’s to nine years of growth, reflection and purpose — and to many more to come 🤍🤲🏽

Did you know we run Forest School every Monday at our Fishponds setting? 🌿
Each week, our preschoolers head outdoors to explore, splash, climb and take carefully supported risks. These experiences nurture emerging independence, confidence and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Forest School sessions are always a highlight of the children’s week — they return muddy, smiling, and full of wonderful stories to share with their friends 💚
We’re also delighted to announce that Forest School will be launching at our Kingswood site from Thursday 5th February 🥳🎉🌲🌳
Adventure awaits!

“Sometimes the greatest sign of learning is when the child no longer needs us.” ✨
In Montessori, we celebrate the moment children work as if the adult isn’t there. It shows confidence, independence, and deep learning.
Recently, our children have been leading the song box activity themselves — taking turns, being fair, kind and courteous, and supporting one another. As they lead, they beam with pride, carefully mimicking the calm and respect they see from their teachers every day 🎶💛
This is Montessori in action:
children who feel capable, trusted, and empowered to lead.

⭐Back to Montessori favourites ⭐
Our children love transferring and matching activities because they feel calm, familiar and purposeful. These simple tasks support fine motor skills, visual discrimination, problem-solving and growing independence.
In the Malala Class, our youngest children have been enjoying lots of matching activities this week. After a two-week Christmas break, returning to familiar Montessori work helps our two-year-olds feel safe, settled and ready to re-engage with nursery life.
They are doing incredibly well, showing focus, confidence and curiosity as they resettle

Hello Rozey Days community, we are reaching out to ask for some help please 👋🏽
We have two children who need some additional support at our kingswood setting as they embark on their early years journey with us. 🌱
This role requires a very special individual and we are hoping that you can help us find them by sharing this post with your network. 🔁
The role is on for an immediate start, Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 3pm. You will be working with two different children as an additional support to the current team, learning all about inclusion in a Montessori setting. We believe every child has the right to access a high quality education and rich curriculum. You will be a huge part of these childrens early years journey. ⭐
We would LOVE for you to have experience of working with children who have additional needs, however for us the main factor is rooted in your passion for inclusion. We need a real champion of the child who will work closely with the nursery SENDCO to help our little people thrive ✅
If this sounds like you or someone you know, please do get in touch with us at : [email protected]
Thank you ❤️
