Saturday Music Club

This summer, we're running Firebird Band Camp for the second year — and if your child is into music, it's a week they genuinely won't forget.
In five days, a group of young musicians who've never played together will form a band, write an original song, and perform it live on a real stage. We provide the gear, the guidance, and the Rock Night. They provide the energy.

Saturday music club is still going ahead today, even with the bad weather.

Does your child want to learn a musical instrument? We're running a Taster Day on Wednesday 30th August 2023 at Saturday Music Club.

The children can try all of the instruments we have available and see which one they like the most. We currently offer drums, guitar, keyboards and violin.

During the day your child will get a 30 minute introductory lesson on each instrument and at the end of this, they can choose which instrument they'd like to carry on with.

We're going to be running a Taster Day at Saturday Music Club on Sunday 14th May, where you can try out all the instruments we offer (Guitar, Keyboards, Violin and Drums).

Each lesson is 30 minutes long and costs £9 per child. You can choose individual instruments or sign up for all four.

Saturday Music Club - Bristol Music School | Firebird Studios Saturday Music Club is a Bristol music school run on Saturday mornings at Firebird Studios. We teach the drums, violin, guitar and piano in small groups for children aged 5 - 18.

It's true, we're looking for some more piano/keyboard students for our amazing teacher Dorian! If you know of anyone who would be interested, then tag them in this post or share it with them.

Is your child keen to start piano lessons? We have some spaces left at Saturday Music Club, our music school here at Firebird Studios. These group lessons run on Saturdays (duh!) as well as Thursdays (huh?) for 30 minutes.

Hello! We are running our first local craft and produce market at the studio this Saturday 26th from 9am to 3pm which means there is no on-site parking. You can park anywhere before the studio entrance gates or along Emery Road. We will send out an email to everyone about this too. It would be great if you could share the market with friends and have a browse of the stalls while you're at the studio. There are 12 great local makers involved, some of whom are doing their first ever craft market. Local brewery Lost and Grounded Brewers will be there too and I'll be making extra special wildflower themed cakes.

We are excited to be running a couple of free music taster half days for children next month at the studio to enable more children to have access to music. The taster half day is a condensed version of our 8-week music taster term, with half an hour of each of the 4 instruments (guitar, violin, piano and drums) and a half hour break in the middle. This will give children a great introduction to each instrument and hopefully help them choose an instrument to continue learning.

These free sessions are happening on Sunday 11th & 18th July in the morning and afternoon. There are 16 places available in each half-day session (4 children per instrument class) and 4 sessions running in total. If you would like to book a place on one of these, please email [email protected] or call 0117 972 1830 and let us know which date and time you would like and how old your child is, as we try to group children of similar ages together wherever possible.

If you know anyone else who might want their children to come along to one of these free taster days, please share this with them. We want as many children as possible to benefit from this opportunity to try different musical instruments for free!

We are so excited to be opening back up for in-person group lessons again from Saturday 17th April! We can't wait to see you all again in person. We have a few spaces left on our next taster term starting then too if you know anyone who might want to join and have a go at learning four different instruments with us.
