Have you got the Lidl Plus app?

Your vote could help a local good cause win £10,000!

Lidl GB has just launched a nationwide initiative through the Lidl Plus app, giving shoppers the power to decide where £500,000 of community funding. Lidl has shortlisted five good causes in the Neighbourly network in each region, and app users get to vote for their favourite. Every charity on the list will receive a donation, but the winner in each region will receive £10,000.

It only takes a minute, so have a look, vote for the one closest to your heart and pass it on to anyone else who shops at Lidl!

🌱 Help Certas Energy support communities across the UK!

The Certas Energy Community Bloom Fund is an annual initiative that provides funding to local community projects, helping them bring people together, improve shared spaces and create a lasting positive impact in their area 💚

This year, four fantastic projects have been shortlisted and Certas Energy are asking the public to help decide where this funding goes!

🏆 The two projects with the most votes will each receive £15,000, while the remaining two shortlisted projects will each receive £1,500.

Voting has already been fantastic, but there’s still time to make your voice count and support a project that matters to you.

Last week, a team from Neighbourly came together to w**d, garden and tidy the outdoor areas around St Werburghs Community Centre - helping to breathe new life into a space that means so much to the local community in this Bristol neighbourhood. 🐛🌱

Days like this show why employee volunteering really matters. It strengthens community ties, gives colleagues a chance to give back with hands-on support, and turns a shared few hours into a lasting difference for the local area.

This World Environment Day, we're thinking about the food bank volunteers who show up every week without fail, the community gardens growing food in forgotten corners of cities, the local groups stretching every donation as far as it can go.

They remind us that sustainability has always been rooted in community - in sharing, in caring for what we have, and in looking out for each other.

Today is and it's a reminder of why local-level action really matters.

Our corporate partners provide crucial aid to communities all over the UK through their giving programmes.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury’s community grants have donated over £5 million to more than 2,300 charities and local community organisations since 2021. Funding local initiatives that tackle food poverty and help make good food more accessible to those who need it most.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 is almost over - but for the mental health charities in the Neighbourly network and beyond, the work never stops.

This year's theme was action, and that's something these causes embody every single day. From frontline crisis support to long-term community wellbeing projects, they show up for people regardless of what's trending.

As the week closes, we want to celebrate them, and remind supporters that the opportunity to take action doesn't end on Sunday. Funding, volunteer time, surplus products - every contribution makes a difference to the causes doing this vital work.

Teamwork and a powerful shared purpose are what successful volunteering days are all about! 👏

We loved hearing about the success of the volunteering day the Gallagher team held with Mentalkhealth Sittingbourne, which benefits the users of their woodland

The day was made even better by inviting students from a local school also benefiting from the Gallagher Community Fund via the Neighbourly platform. 💰

Sarah Millan, Senior Business Analyst, perfectly sums up the spirit of the day: "It was so good for Gallagher employees to again make a difference to benefit the users of Mentalk Health Sittingbourne Woodland. Fantastic teamwork and great conversation around the campfire at the end of the day. Extra special this time as we had invited students from Five Acre Wood School".
