Uke Lift Project

That's a wrap! Thank you to all of my many pupils for such a wonderful month of playing Christmas songs, concerts, Christmas parties and for all of my wonderful Christmas gifts! I am so grateful to have my amazing upgrade of a new teaching cabin and it has been so fun to strum with so many of you in it! I am now officially off duty for the holidays. Happy Holidays you all!

Today 21 of my pupils and I played a Christmas set to the residents of Bridge House Residential Home. We certainly put a smile on their face and spread some Christmas cheer. Thank you to all of my pupils for volunteering to perform today! I didn't get to be in the photo and show off my Christmas jumper so here it is!
Now I can officially say, THAT'S A WRAP for Christmas festivities!

Good company, ukuleles, strumming Christmas songs, great food and ukulele bingo! Our annual party with all my adult strummers was sooo fun!

Today is Thanksgiving in America. For any followers that don"t know this, I am American but have lived in the UK for many years. This week I made pumpkin pie for many of my pupils to say thank you for sticking with me and my lessons for so many years. I am eternally grateful 🙂

I am ready to organise again and thanks to some of my pupils helping me out, Bristol Ukulele Festival will be back next year!

Clocks by Coldplay is not an easy song to perform. Miya and Melina have been learning with Uke Lift Project off and on for several years. Now that they are attending lessons together, they are amazing duet and this is their first performance after many years of lessons and practice.

I am so proud of these girls for not only recording this song in our 'Songs from the shed' series but also for putting in countless hours of practice for their picking/plucking solos on electric ukuleles.

Well done girls, I am so proud of you! Let's keep strumming for many more years!

Here is our latest song from Songs From The Shed!
With or Without You by U2 is not an easy song to sing or play. Zahara has been learning with Uke Lift Project for 7 years. She is now an amazing ukulele player and singer and is now a confident performer after many years of lessons and practice.

I am so proud of Zahara for not only recording her second song in our 'Songs from the shed' series but also for putting in the time and practice to perfect this. Zahara is playing a concert ukulele in GCEA tuning and I am playing a Tenor ukulele in Low G tuning.

Well done Zahara! Let's keep strumming together for many more years!
