WINSTON SLOT PROPOSALS!!

Our annual Winston Slot is fast approaching! We have been given the slot slightly earlier this year which means that proposals will take place straight away at the beginning of term (Monday 26th September). So for those thinking of proposing, this is your reminder to get writing!

*SPOTLIGHTS COMMITTEE ROLE APPLICATION – EXTERNAL VENUES REP*

Hello! Bristol Spotlights are looking for an External Venues Rep to join the lovely 2022-23 committee! If you’re passionate about the wider theatre scene in Bristol and want to help Spotlights branch out into the city, then this could be the perfect role for you!

Role Description:
External Venues Rep is in charge of booking all non-SU shows and maintaining the positive working relationships we have with these external venues. It is a great role if you are interested in the wider Bristol theatre scene, with the opportunity to look into new spaces and places to perform. It often involves working as a co-producer on external shows, sometimes completing risk assessments, and other documents needed by the venues’ administration. Knowledge of the local performing arts scene is useful, but not essential, you just need to be an efficient organiser and communicator, able to work with other committee members e.g. Treasurer, President, Producing Rep, to ensure the smooth running of external shows! Students from any year can run for this role.

AUDITIONS, PRODUCTION CALL OUT and TICKETS!!

Auditions:

Calling all actors - this is your chance to perform at the famous To***co Factory Theatre as part of a 4 piece showcase of brand new student writing!
No need to sign up, just come along to auditions on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of March from 5-7pm in the Stacy Room at the SU.
The showcase performance is on 27th March - so this is the perfect chance to be involved in an exciting and fast-paced DramSoc and Spotlights piece without having to commit to many weeks of rehearsals!

The showcase is made up of 4 pieces of brand new student-written theatre and the showcase performance is on 27th March - so this is the perfect chance to be involved in an exciting and fast-paced DramSoc+Spotlights piece without having to commit to lots of weeks of rehearsals!
