Hamilton Pre-School, Bristol

Hamilton Pre-School, Bristol Hamilton Pre-School registered in 1995. It is situated in a classroom at Holymead Primary School, Wick Road, Brislington, Bristol. We are term time only.

The setting has disabled access via a ramp and the activity rooms are on one level. Hamilton Pre-School provides care for children from the local area and beyond. The pre-school is registered on the Early Years Register, the compulsory part of the Childcare Register and the voluntary part of the Childcare Register. The group receives the government funding for the provision of free early education for children aged three and four years which is the 15 hours and for working parents 30 hours a week. Children attend for a variety of sessions. The pre-school cares for children with special educational needs/ and or disabilities and children who are learning English as an additional language. Opening times are
8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Breakfast club 8am

Afternoon sessions 12.30-3.30pm
9-3pm
Extended hours up to 5pm

we offer a range of sessions
Including breakfast club starting at 8am, half day sessions, all day sessions and extended hours up to 5pm.

Let’s remember
Children learn in a multitude of ways and some children have specific ways that they make sense of the world.

Through repetitive actions (schema) children are finding out, being curious and constantly learning.

It’s all part of their learning process and we need to recognise different types of schemas in play.

“A schema is a pattern of repeated actions. Clusters of schemas develop into later concepts" (Athey, 2007). It’s an urge!

To understand that children use play to collect information, and they do this in a methodical, logical and systematic way, through the use of their senses and constant movements.

The way children learn through PLAY is incredible❤️

Just because it doesn’t make sense to us adults - doesn’t mean it’s not making sense to the child.

They will use their entire bodies and senses to find out about the world around them, this in turn can also send calming signals to the brain.

We had our Ofsted visit before we broke up for our summer break. We are so excited and proud to share with you we have been rated OUTSTANDING.
This is down to the most AMAZING CHILDREN and the BEST STAFF WE HAVE EVER HAD.
Keeping your outstanding rating for a second time is exceptionally hard to do and with no recommendation’s, we are just so proud.

Today we said a sad goodbye to our fabulous children leaving us to start school in Sept. What an amazing year. We are so so proud of each of you and we will miss you loads. ❤️❤️❤️
