A Community that CARES 🩵

On Saturday, we held our second community walk of the year at the stunning Ashton Court Estate, with stunning views and a challenging uphill climb 🗻

We had a good turnout and a nice chat as we made our way up and down the beautiful grounds, these are important as members who train at different times, get an opportunity to catch up 🤝

We hold monthly group walks, and always stay local to south bristol, keep posted for our next location 👀

FIRST EVER SUB 20M 5K 🤩🏅🏃🏻‍♂️

Yesterday, we took on the across the bridge as rumour had it, it was ideal for PBs due to being a flat out-and-back course and it certainly lived up to expectation 😛

Achieving a time of 19:49 minutes for 5k distance, alongside other achievements such as my fastest 1 mile, 2 miles, 400m and second fastest 1k 🏆

Felt really good to finally hit the sub 20 club as it at one point seemed out of reach, but I felt good throughout the run and managed my energy levels and breathing better than usual… must be getting fitter 📈

I promise I enjoy running despite my facial expressions during Saturdays park run 🤣😅

Enjoyable and challenging park run on Saturday at in the Forrest of Dean where I secured my first ever top 10 (6th) finish on the 37th attempt with a time of 22:09 🤩

Loving our weekly routine and now the football season is over for us both, we can continue with our park run tourism until August ☀️

Visiting the 🏃🏻‍♂️

An enjoyable and unexpected trip yesterday as myself and Alanna travelled to Birmingham for the national running show 🚘

As we prepare for our ultra marathon in July, we have been exploring every aspect of the ideal preparation, from nutrition, clothing, performance supplements and equipment, and this was the perfect spot to find this info and the products 👟

I would highly recommend for anyone who is new to running or highly experienced to visit this show, very good stalls, with great variety of product and friendly staff (also left with lots of samples 🤣)

Weekend in the life of a personal trainer…

Football, Park Run, Food and Gym

That’s pretty much it 😂

In all seriousness, the weekends are a good opportunity to enjoy good company (usually involves nice food) as well as usual duties like my Saturday morning park run, football on both days and if I can squeeze in a gym session, then I will 💪🏻

It’s important to give yourself time to enjoy yourself, as well as remembering your goals and maintaining habits, but the odd cheat meal won’t change anything… remain consistent and progress will follow 🫡
