A huge congratulations to our Class of 2026 graduates who transformed BIMM Bristol into a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
From live performances, acoustic showcases and DJ sets to immersive sound rooms, analogue liquid light projections, student magazines, listening stations, and a student-led micro festival, the Graduate Showcase highlighted the incredible talent and ambition of our graduating cohort.

So, what does working in the music industry really look like?
Last month, Outer Town Festival and BIMM Bristol officially collaborated for the first time ever, and we had a blast! Not only is the festival founder a BIMM Bristol Alumni themselves, we also had our current students get involved by curating the first four slots at the Exchange Basement stage, liaising with artists, stage management, and supporting with marketing and PR strategies 🥳

🎶 Yesterday's Masterclass with Sandy Beales ✨️
Yesterday, we got an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the real world of live music with Sandy Beales - renowned session basist and Musical Director.
From a live rehearsal scenario featuring talented student band performing 'Taste' by Sabrina Carpenter, to in-depth discussions on professional rehearsal processes, musical direction, and seamlessly fitting into a live performance.
Sandy also shared invaluable, real-world advice on building, sustaining, and thriving in today's music industry.
💡 Takeaway: Preparation, adaptability, and passion are your greatest tools.
Who says studios need walls? For this week's MRCE, had students turn cosy blanket forts into sonic laboratories. From muffled beats to dreamlike echoes, every note was born in a world of fabric, texture and imagination. 💥💜
