University of Bristol Quiz Society

Reminder that quiz practice is not on this week as University Challenge Trials are happening. Info below:

Dates and Times: Tryouts are running from 7-8pm on Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th, and Wednesday 18th of October. Each session is the same so you only need to attend one.

Location: Trials are happening in the Pugsley Lecture Theatre in the Queens (Engineering) Building. When you enter Queens (search it up on Google Maps) turn right, go up the stairs, and the lecture theatre is directly in front of you.

What you'll be doing: The first round consists of a question paper on a variety of topics that you have an hour to complete, so please arrive nice and early! The best scores will be invited back for the second round which is a buzzer quiz. Please bring a pen as this will save us a lot of effort.

Pub Quiz: 08/10/23 7pm: Show up to the White Bear for the 2nd installment of our fortnightly pub quiz! We highly recommend arriving before 7 to ensure you get a table. Entry is in cash (£2 per person or £10 per team if you have 5 or more people), but there's a cash point just down the road in Coop if you don't have any.

Weekly Quiz Practice: 09/10/23 8-10pm: Quiz practice is running as usual in Senate House 5.20 so come along for the usual mix of buzzer and social quizzing!

University Challenge Trials: We're delighted to announce we now have set dates and times for this year's UC trials! We'll send another email soon giving all the necessary details, but they will happen from 7-8pm on the 16th, 17th, and 18th (The first 3 days of the week after next)

Hello everyone! Bristol's University Challenge team will be playing against Oriel College, Oxford on BBC2 at 8:30! We will also probably be watching it at our weekly practice today, which as usual will be at 7:00pm in Senate House 5.05!

Hello everyone! We are happy to announce that we will be running a pub quiz on Thursday 10th November at 19:30 in the Balloon Bar in the Richmond Building. We will cover a broad range of trivia subjects such as art and culture, sport, geography, history, science, current events and music .

Booking is not necessary but please bring with you a pen and £1 in cash for each participant as an entry fee.
