Summer formal coming up in 2 weeks time peeps !!!

What better way to celebrate the end of the year than with a load of pizza and a good ol boogie ???!! there is none x

Taking place on the 5th June in Zero Degrees (by the christmas steps), ticket includes wine or a pint on entry and nibbles to start followed by a main of pizzas/pastas buffet style, as well as a live band and some guaranteed good summer vibes xoxox

AGM!! Time to choose your new committee!

Please write and submit your manifesto using the Google form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSevZ4bQyhEWJqQZef1gmUEcTqP6q3abkUDFXtlV__x19QFEWA/viewform by 23:59 on Wednesday 4th May! Swipe for what to include in your manifesto 👉🏼

We’ll be holding the AGM on zoom 6-7pm on Thursday 5th May - please be prepared to deliver your manifesto on zoom. If you cannot make it please submit a video instead (send to any committee member).

There will then be a week of voting and then the 2022/23 committee will be announced!

We’ve got our next academic event coming up on Tuesday 3rd May! Book your place on our SU page :)

We’ll be hearing all about new research from Matt Jones (Bristol), Emma Robinson (Bristol) and Lucy Hiscox (Bath).

Professor Matt Jones specialises in sleep research, and will be talking to us about the importance of sleep in psychiatry.

Professor Emma Robinson specialises in creating behavioural models to explore the mechanisms behind psychiatric disorders, with a particular interest in depression.

Dr Lucy Hiscox is a postdoctoral research fellow in the department of psychology at Univerist of Bath. She will be telling us about her research on the effects of the maternal environment on neonatal development.

NEUROSOC NEEDS YOU!!!

Have you got what it takes to be on the 2022/23 NeuroSoc committee??

AGM will be running next term and we’ll need you guys to apply for committee roles!

We will be holding the AGM in person, and applicants will have to deliver a short manifesto as to why they should get the role.

The roles you can apply for are:
- President (must have already held a position on the committee)
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer (must be current 1st year, so 2nd year when in the role)
- Social Secretary x2
- Well-being officer

More details will be posted soon, including criteria for each role and what you could include in your AGM! Watch this space 👀🧠
