/ POETRY AT FIELD /
This Sunday 26 April at Field Cafe from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM, we’re hosting a time of creative expression through the written and spoken word, facilitated by Tom Burgess.
Tom has a gift for creating spaces that feel safe, encouraging and genuinely free - the kind of environment where creativity can flourish.
It’ll be informal and relaxed, with some writing prompts to get things moving and plenty of freedom too. We’d love everyone to come with a piece of writing - something of your own or something by a writer you love. Beyond that, just bring yourself.
Please feel free to invite anyone you think might enjoy it.

On Sunday, Caleb preached from Mark 1:1–13, tracing the opening of Jesus’ ministry through John the Baptist, Jesus’ baptism, and his time in the wilderness.
The thread running through it all was identity. John’s clarity about who he was freed him from building his own platform; Jesus’ identity was declared by the Father before a single miracle had been performed; and the wilderness temptation was ultimately an attack on that same identity.
The Father’s words at the Jordan, “You are my Son, whom I love, with you I am well pleased,” were spoken before there was any accomplishment to point at.
That same declaration is extended to us, and we’re called to build our lives on this truth that we are sons and daughters of our heavenly Father, he loves us and he is pleased with us.
Join us this coming Sunday as we look forward to welcoming guest speaker Chris Bond from Hope Chapel.

February was a powerful month of impact at the BS4 Foodbank Outlet.
Take a look at the numbers to see how your generosity helped make possible just a portion of what we provide — the number of people fed, volunteer hours given, and fresh bread shared across our community. We’ve also included a few comparisons to highlight how both the need and our response continue to grow.
If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know that it’s about much more than fresh bread. Alongside emergency food parcels, it’s a joy to offer fresh fruit and vegetables, pastries, frozen meals, toiletries, tea and coffee, home-made cake, and cheese toasties — as well as vital support from our financial inclusion team and guidance from our wonderful signposting volunteers.
Thank you for all your support with this ongoing work.

Please note there is no Sunday service tomorrow, 28th December. We’ve had three special Christmas services in the past week with a family nativity on Sunday morning (complete with the gifts of faith, peace, joy, worship and love) and a choose your own adventure carol service on Sunday evening (we chose her - Mary’s - story) and a joyful celebration of light coming into darkness at midnight on Christmas Eve.
We will resume Sunday gatherings on Sunday 4th January for our annual Testimony Sunday. Please come with stories to share of what God has been doing in, among and through you and the Field community this past year. Kids Church will also be resuming that Sunday. Hope to see you there!
And in the meantime, best wishes for a peaceful and joy-filled New Year.
