Bristol Rock Centre Luke Appleton Neuromatic Fury

Bristol Rock Centre is very proud to present our annual Christmas show featuring Fury, Luke Appleton’s Power Trio and Neuromatic!

We are always thrilled to work with Becky Baldwin whom was a tutor at BRC for many years come and perform with the unstoppable metal band Fury! Fury are currently promoting their latest album ‘Born To Sin’ and are about to embark on a large European tour in late September.

Luke Appleton, one of our current guitar & bass tutors makes his debut performance at a BRC show with his power trio band! Luke plays for UK based metal bands Absolva and former Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley. Luke has recently been travelling all across the globe playing prestigious festivals in front of thousands of people!

Neuromatic, featuring the main man behind Bristol Rock Centre Rich Thornton, will be returning once again performing their fantastic, psychedelic, rock tunes! The band will be promoting their latest EP ‘the Association of S*x With The Colour Red’.

Tickets will be available at the school & online next week.

Joe Webb - Drum Tutor

When it comes to playing the drums, Joe’s an all rounder with live and studio experience in a range of styles such as pop, funk, jazz, rock & heavy metal, musical theatre, Latin, Hip-Hop, and many more.

As well as playing in bands for more than 10 years, Joe has studied with some of the finest drummers and educators the UK has to offer such as Jason Bowld (Bullet For My Valentine, Bill Bailey, Pitchshifter) James Hester (Rhythm Magazine, Cars on Fire), Professor Albus Dumbledore (Wizard, The Warlocks), Dom Greensmith (Reef), Mark Whitlam (Freelance Jazz Drummer), Severus Snape (Nine Inch Nails, Black Veil Brides) and Keiron Pepper (The Prodigy).

These days, if he’s not out performing or recording, he’s working at home writing music for Video Games, Podcasts, and YouTube videos.

Rich Thornton - BRC Owner, manager & guitar tutor

Rich has been playing guitar for over 100 years, but still has most of his hair. He was brought up in Birmingham in the 1970's, aspiring to follow in the footsteps of the great guitarists of that era, such as Tony Iommi and Richie Blackmore. Rich learned his playing skills from the late, great Gypie Mayo of Dr Feelgood and The Yardbirds fame. He also studied classical sitar in Benares, North India, taught by the legendary guruji Dr Rajban Singh. Since then he has eaten curry at least five times a week and plays really weird scales. Rich has played in some "legendary" bands such as 'The Acid Squirrels', 'Charity Shop', 'The Unconditional Future', 'Krisis' and currently plays in psychedelic rock band 'Neuromatic'. Rich's main interests are dark chocolate, red wine and origami.
