Lil update post from my week:
Finally got some routine back in my strength training, started a new program with the focus of building my strength back up! 🤝
Running has been a life line for me in these past few weeks, so 25k run on my birthday; followed by Frenchay run club with the Meels PT girls (loved the card, and brownies/cookies🤪)
Been doing a lot of solo dates, coffee, walks and shopping trips which has been hard but definitely been helping me learn more about myself🥹
Then a night where I actually chilled out, people watched and treated myself to a drink (those that know me know that don’t happen often)
Overall, a lovely week and a lot of healing..❤️🩹

✨A reminder that I think we all need sometimes✨
Social media is a highlight reel. We celebrate wins, holidays, PBs, transformations and happy moments—but rarely the days we cry, grieve or struggle just to get through.
I lost my dog unexpectedly, I went through heartbreak. During that time people complimented me on how “lean” I looked, when the reality was I could barely eat.
As a PT, people think I live and breathe fitness, nutrition and exercise but in reality I’m only human. I make mistakes, I don’t eat perfectly, I don’t train all the time… that’s unrealistic but what many content creators will show you.
Looking healthy doesn’t always mean someone is healthy.
Looking happy doesn’t always mean someone is okay.
So please don’t compare yourself to what you see online.
Train because it makes you stronger.
Eat because your body deserves fuel.
Be kind—to yourself and to others.
You never know what someone is going through🤍

Little preview of my Lower B plan at the moment!
Hack Squat 8-12 reps x 4 sets
Hip thrusts 8-12 reps x 4 sets
Usually walking lunges, but Freedom had a hyrox sim going on so we mixed it up and did a brutal superset —
Single leg extensions 10 reps each leg into both legs 12 reps x 4 sets
Then some core/rehab movements -
Leg raises 12-15 reps, into knee raises 12-15 reps and cross body raises 10 reps each side
Back/hyper extension 15 reps x 3 sets
Pallof press 15 reps each side x 3 sets
PS I always look lowkey mad, but I promise I’m friendly😜

First race back since the Bristol Half Marathon that I had to pull out of…
All I can say is, I loved every second of this race. I was in my head about running it as the football was on, and I’m glad my best mates parents run a pub (big up The Pack Horse) just up the road and reserved the best seats🙂↔️
The run itself was hot as hell, the course was dry and the ankles were defo feeling it but I only felt I pushed myself to a 6/7 out of 10 for this race, and I cannot wait to see what I’ve got in the next one!
Last years time: 53:10
This years time: 47:47
iCompete Events can’t wait to run it again next year✨

CARDIFF HYROX 2026 🏁
My first solo HYROX… and honestly, I do NOT recommend doing one 4 weeks after an ultramarathon and 2 weeks of illness 🥴
Went into this race with zero expectations. All day kept asking if I was nervous (she was more nervous than me 🤭), but I just kept reminding myself… it’s basically an adult sports day 🫡
Ski Erg – usually hate it, but this felt breezy. Had the Mrs shouting at me to pace it, but ya gal was feeling good ✨ 8/10
Sled Push + Pull – who glued these to the floor?? Legs were on the verge of exploding but we pushed/pulled through 🥴 7/10
Burpees – another least favourite… 6 lengths of burpees is criminal 🥲 BUT breaking it down actually helped. Quick “power naps” at the bottom saved me 🤩 7/10
Row – normally my favourite… hated every second 😂 Only smiling because my support crew were singing me through it. Legs were gone, brain was gone 🥹 4/10
Farmer Carries – leaking roof + slanted floor = accidental water slide vibes. Not a fan 🙃 6/10
Lunges – legs shaking like mad. Two loooong lengths… not my favourite, but we got it done. Definitely one to improve 🤷🏼♀️ 6/10
Wall Balls – call me crazy, I LOVE these 💅 Had a plan and stuck to it. Not my fastest but still happy! 9/10
Runs – pretty mid. Haven’t run since the ultra so didn’t know what to expect, but held ~5:18/km average 🤭
I do also want to say thank you to all the girls and my boys for coming out to cheer me on🥹 luckiest gal ever 🤍
All in all… not perfect, but we showed up and got it DONE ~ 1:20:31 for my first one happy days🔥

Weekend well spent 💫
There’s nothing like good company and a challenge to make life memorable. We took on Snowdon this weekend — many steps, lots of joy, and stunning scenery 🏔️
Fitness isn’t just about physical strength… it’s about building confidence, resilience, and friendships 💛
Thankful for this lush group — already looking forward to our next adventure 👀✨

1 week after an ultramarathon and apparently I make great decisions…
Booked a backyard ultra ✔️
Went on a Hike (had FOMO so couldn’t say no)✔️
Ankle holding on for dear life ✔️
HRV absolutely raging ✔️
Still smiling though 🫶

55KM ULTRA DONE 🏁💥
This one hit different.
I went into it nervous… last year I had my sister by my side, this time I was running solo and had no idea how it would go or how I’d pace it.
19.5k – flew into the first feed in 1:40 feeling strong. Pushed the pace early knowing that brutal hill at the end was waiting 👀
32.5k – on the way to this feed stop I guess you could say I “ran” into … and honestly, that changed everything. 19 years old, already smashing ultras across the world 🤯 We stuck it out together to the finish. When I wanted to stop, he kept me moving.
42.5k – pain cave. Big one. Legs were screaming no matter what I did… but I kept telling myself: “it’s just another 10k.”
Final stretch – a 110m climb, the suspension bridge (forced walk 😅), and trying to follow markers with a fried brain… chaos.
But we made it. And we crossed that line together 🤝
Proof that sometimes you don’t need to feel ready… you just need to keep going. 🖤
