It's always lovely to get together with our wonderful Bristol instructors! Here's me, Clair, Rachael and our newer instructors Chris and Hazel, cooling off after lunch and a brief Nordic walk in Ashton Court - you were missed Patsy and Natalie.
We're sporting our snazzy, more practical red tops which have usurped our white ones.
Thanks to our amazing team for all you do, and continuing to lead your sessions through all the elements - wind, rain, ice and heatwave! πŸ’ͺ

The weather was perfect for a Nordic Walk on the Downs today.
We worked on the importance of being symmetrical when doing activities.

So we did lot's of work on our weaker side!, squeezing the Glutes and single arm poling.

Well done everyone, Rach xx

Little breather by the stream during yesterday's walk at Oldbury Court.

Then it was back to 'rotations' as the focus of the week to strengthen the waist and back muscles, keep the spine mobile and it's a lovely stretch too. Well done for bracing the heat. Clair πŸ‘

Such a nice Nordic walk this morning in Oldbury Court.

The sun came out, the woods were lovely with some cooling shade, the birds were singing and 9 lovely ladies chattered away. We worked on rotations today when we were on the flat paths. Thought I'd show some footage of just one of the little woodland paths alongside the stream.

Well done ladies, hope the coffee in the sunshine afterwards was great, and you had a good catch up with Margaret & Mike too 😁 Clair

One unexpected benefit of arriving on the Downs to Nordic walk in a heatwave - plenty of parking spaces! Looking forward to meeting my group today; we will stay in as much shade as possible, take frequent water breaks, and enjoy our outdoor exercise 😊😎

Lovely Nordic Walk this morning with the Tuesday gang in Oldbury Court.

Managed to mostly stick to the woods for some relief from the heat, but all doable. An easy focus of the week stretching/strengthening our feet 🦢 πŸ‘£ even Bella's 🐾

And the gang listened......hydration was absolutely necessary! Great to have Natalie Field back with us today too 😁. Clair x

It was lovely Nordic Walking on the Downs this morning. It was alittle hotter than usual but with plenty of shade from the tree's we worked on Ankle strength and Balance which work together to support the entire body and provide a stable foundation. Rach xx

Challenging our minds, balance and proprioception today at Oldbury Court with some "walking backwards".

I really felt the benefit in my calves and feet and had much more awareness of my muscles and limbs for sure. Great little exercise to try whenever you can at home! Well done all 😁
