This week, we had the pleasure of attending the Job, Skills & Training Day at Castle Park🏰

Despite it being a bit windy, our Post 16 and Youth Guarantee coaches were blown away by the amount of young people they spoke to about their post 16 options!🌬

It was also great to meet with other support services and employers looking to support young people into education, employment or training.

Our support includes…
🌟 Guidance around post 16 options for education, employment and training - all helpfully gathered in the Post 16 Directory & new Post 16 Pathways handbook!
🌟 The Boost Your Future programme - open to young people across Bristol aged 16 to 18
🌟 The South Bristol Youth Guarantee - open to 17 to 21-year-olds in South Bristol postcode areas
🌟 Our career coaching service, which is open to 16 to 18-year-olds across Bristol

Keep an eye out, the Post 16 Team will be out and about in your local area again this summer to offer support and advice following GCSE Results Day🧑‍🎓!

We’re excited to invite you to a FREE Job Skills & Training Day in the heart of Bristol, delivered in partnership with Castle Park Youth Activities.

Whether you’re 16+, just starting out, or figuring out your next move- this event is all about helping you explore your options and build your future.

💡 What you can expect:
• Discover job, apprenticeship, and training opportunities
• Get advice on CVs, applications, and next steps
• Meet real employers and training providers
• Have relaxed, informal chats (no pressure!)

Bring a friend, come as you are, and take your first (or next!) step towards something new

No tickets needed – just turn up!

If you’re aged 17-21, are unemployed or out of education, the Youth Guarantee team can help you!💫

When you start the Youth Guarantee programme, you’ll get:
🌟One to one career coaching – dedicated support to set goals and overcome challenges
🌟Employability training – boosting your vital skills and meeting new people*
🌟A work taster – at least 2 weeks meaningful experience of the world of work
🌟 Further support – Functional Skills Maths & English, CSCS cards, mental health support, travel training, and much more!

*Training runs in either Knowle or Hartcliffe

Oh, and did we mention? Once you complete the programme you’ll get £250 in vouchers and a FREE bus pass!🚌🛒
