So…..how much learning would you think you could gain from a few bags of bark used to top-up one area of our garden??? Well today we had loads of rich learning❤️ At Hanham Toddlers we support and empower our children to rise to an array of challenges. This task saw amazing team work and problem solving by our little people- they learnt to work collaboratively together and amazed us all with their ability to problem solve when they realised the bags were too weighty to just lift!!- we used rich descriptive language such as pull, drag, lift, tip, rotate and flip together with physical skills such as pushing, pulling, ripping and spreading…..we just love mixing in some organic spontaneous learning alongside our carefully planned curriculum 🥰

At Hanham Toddlers we have lots of exciting new provision for this coming academic year, today we are super pleased to share our BRAND NEW play space for our youngest learners. As the summer holidays draw to a close we have been busy behind the scenes refreshing our Maths Home Learning sacks….they are bursting with stories, games, resources and ideas for children to share with their families at home, this supports our collaborative learning between home and pre-school to ensure our little people grow into mighty mathematicians 💙💛

As we head into our last week of term a little reminder to all our parents/ carers that this week we have class singing and Leavers/End of Year celebrations…..please refer to your ‘dates for your diaries’ or emails for full details of each class schedule. 💙💛

Wow- what a scorcher this week has been ☀️. A big “thank you” to all our parents/carers for understanding and supporting our decision to close at midday Weds and Thurs this week to ensure the safety of everyone. As always a big shout out to the HTPS staff team who ‘melted’ their way through the sessions with smiles and laughter, ensuring everyone remained hydrated and having fun 🤩

Thank you everyone for helping to make today’s Hanham Common Fayre a great success…..the sun shone and it was great to see so many of our children and their families. As always thanks to our staff team for supporting this community event - and the bonus is catching up with sooo many special little people who are now enjoying their time in school 💙💛

The children have busy creating paper flowers and friendly bugs to support the community celebration of Hanham Methodists Church’s 175th Birthday…..if you’re looking for something to do this weekend why not pop along and take a look. All of our creations are on the flower arch, but there’s many more displays inside. ❤️

Big thanks to Hanham Gardening Company for another top class job- they spent today ensuring our outdoor play area is safe and ready for play when we return from the Easter holidays laying tons of new bark. They are definitely our ‘go to’ local company ❤️
