Western Counties Development Finals 🥊

Wasn’t to be for Laila today, losing on a 4–1 split against an opponent we’ve boxed before.

Laila came out flying in the first, landing some beautiful uppercuts and putting together some really good work. Coming back to the corner after the first round, she wasn’t feeling 100%… a mixture of nerves and fitness and the final two rounds were a real test.

But she dug deep, kept going and boxed her heart out until the final bell in what was a fantastic bout. That’s something to be proud of. 🫶🏼

Back to the gym now to sharpen the tools and keep building. ⚔️

First bout of the season 👏🏼 🔥

3 days’ notice and a trip over the bridge 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Bella stepped up without hesitation👊🏼

Always a tough place to box but Bella boxed superbly in a bout that genuinely could have gone either way against a taller opponent.

Coming out of the ring with the biggest smile on her face as always, incredibly proud. ❤️

What was even more impressive, Bella couldn’t congratulate her opponent enough. Her sportsmanship was second to none honestly, beyond what you’d expect from most adults, never mind a 12-year-old. 🤝🏼

Everyone commented on how well she boxed and even the judges remembered her from last year and noticed how much she has developed🔥.

She trains relentlessly and absolutely deserved that trophy 👏🏼

Did herself, the club and everyone proud! Already eager for the next! 🥊🔥

Started with the run, then back to basics with some technical work 🧱.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the biggest difference. Building the foundations, sharpening the basics and putting the work in week after week ⚔️.

The hottest day of the year and the girls still showed up and put in the work 💪🏼☀️

Luckily, the air con was working overtime and we had the gym sitting nicely at 17°C 🥵❄️
