Today at the care home, the children had a fabulous time. First they did some leaf rubbing, using crayons. Then the children chose what activities to do. They had a great time doing puzzles, snap and pairs. 🥁

🥁 Yesterday we started back with our school room
intergenerational visits to Avenue Residential Home.

A couple of children had been before but for some of them it was their first visit.
All the children were really excited to meet our older friends.
The children coloured in sun catchers, played games and puzzles with our friends from nursery and friends from Avenue.
We all had a great time and look forward to our visit next week. 🥁

Today was the School Leavers trip to a very windy Severn Beach. We enjoyed walking in the wind and watching the waves. We explored and built on the beach using materials we found. We climbed on the rocks, had a picnic under the bridge and went for a run around on the grass before going to the park and then back to nursery on the train. We had a great day out!

We had our first Tennis Tots session. We practiced controlling speed, direction and balance by playing a game about alligators in the swamp. We controlled the ball with our feet, hands and raquets. We learnt that the ball is only allowed to bounce once and you hit the ball up. 🎾 🥁

Today we said goodbye to the chicks what a fantastic experience we have had. 🐥

Avenue Residential Home visit
Last week the children made sand bottles with their friends at Avenue House, they carefully poured different coloured sand into bottles.

This week they were busy threading beads onto pipe cleaners to make octopuses. Lots of careful hand eye coordination skills.

We also played games and puzzles together 🥁

The chicks are doing really well and are now quite big. We have enjoyed watching them eat, sleep and play. 🐥
