World Bee 🐝 Week! We danced and wiggled our bottoms like the bees do to communicate! We talked about why 🐝 are so important to our world 🌍! The children really enjoyed their activities! Enjoy the half term and heatwave ☀️ xx

Just a few things that we did this week. Laura from imagine and move joined us for a story using Makaton and dancing. We also had the story puppets for the 3 little pigs. We acted, listen to story and story CD of little red riding hood, as well as the story puppets for this too! We looked at the big books. We used chalk boards to make marks, draw and practice letter and number formation. We use safety knives to practice cutting in a safe way. This helps our children understand why it's important to use tools carefully.

This week we have provided our children with some challenge activities, that use their hand eye coordination skills. We have been listening to the little red hen story sack and props. The children were able to retell the story back to the adults. We practiced writing letters and numbers using wipe dry boards.

A few things the children have done this week. We have had a few challenges for our school leavers such as 'What can you measure?' And 'What can you build?' We have practiced pouring carefully, to see how many cups we can fill. We have had different Dulpo to make at constructions , build and balance by using our hand eye coordination skills. We have practiced our balance, physical and coordination skills using our stepping stones and logs.

Last week we celebrated Earth Day! We talked about how we can protect our Planet. The children helped to remove plastic and paper from our small world ocean. They had large rubbish to remove from the garden Ocean. Children used Earth colours to do handprints. We matched images to the numbers on the Earth pictures. We had green and yellow playdough, as well as blue and green button beads to match on the Earth images.
